Have a 2007 F430 with around 20k. Car had the same problem many have had before where it would flash the 4th gear number when it shifted into 4th for a little while. Now it is shifting from 3rd gear to Neutral, and then I can shift back up to 6th gear. Wondering if anyone has had this problem and what was diagnosed. I will be ripping into this thing myself next week to see what is going on, but any insight would be helpful. I have taken a few apart to do a clutch and misc things here and there, however never for this problem.

    What's your clutch wear %?

I would bleed and replace the fluid in the f1 system if it hasn't been serviced recently and then perform a shift position relearn.

Not sure what the clutch wear is currently, however it was at 40% only 2k miles ago. Going to start taking everything apart tomorrow, wish me luck lol

I would advise against that. This can likely only be resolved by sd3

Maybe the F1 system is unable to hold or build pressure as designed, or perhaps your clutch or throw-out bearing is faulty. Though, as indicated by others, it seems having the proper diagnostic tools would be helpful.

Get a report from an SD3 first. Could be your actuator. Remove the rear diffuser and take a look to see if any leaks coming from the actuator. It doesn't have to be a big leak. A few drops indicate a potential problem.
