My friend has a new F430. There are two small overflow tubes in the front of the underside. One tube is smaller than the other. The larger of the two has a clear fluid dripping from it. Can someone tell us what the fluid is as well as what the overflow tubes are.
    Thanks

A/C condensation would be my guess. Is it water? Slick to the touch? Sweet to the tongue (don't try)?

That was my first thought but it was slick to the touch. I didn't taste it. Probably just condensation. The oily touch may just be that it is new and would there be some oil coating on the inside of the tube from manufacture. Make sense?

Slick to the touch would suggest coolant. A/C condensate is plain ol' water. Of course dripped from a F430, it's an exotic water -- but water nonetheless.

Ya know... upon further thought, if the car still has a warranty, who cares if mercury impregnated kryptonite leaks out... Just take it back and get it fixed by the dealer. :)

If it is A/C condensation I want to be a fly on the wall when he takes it to the dealer.

I'm going to go check it again myself. I think it must be condensation! Update later.

Water. Condensation from the A/C. Looks like water, taste like water, must be water! :)
