    Hey David

Nice article. You've had some great articles and stories in Evo over the years (Evo is my favorite car magazine, hands down)

I've got a 6 speed 430 coupe, and don't notice bad understeer (also on Pirellis), and I was able to have a lot of fun at the track getting the car sliding a bit as well. I am surely much slower than you on the track, so maybe I wasn't pushing it as hard. I remember comparing a 360 coupe to the 360 spider, and although the 360 Spider is a lovely car, it didn't feel as tight as the coupe, maybe that translates to the 430 coupe vs. spider as well.

I know what you mean about the feeling of speed - at first I wondered if it was all that much faster than the 360, but it is very fast, as I was pulling up right behind 360s and even 575s at the track on the straight, it just has such effortless stonk, and a less frenetic nature than the 360. It also wants you to show commitment and dig deep in the throttle, and then it flat out hauls. Plenty of opportunity to scare oneself, and I am not dissapointed in the acceleration at all!

I was going to get the same color as you, but ended up with red/tan - both are beautiful combos, but I must say I am completely enamored with the red/tan!

Thanks for posting the article, and hope you dial out the understeer. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the handling if you get a chance to compare to a coupe. Since you hang with Zondas and the like, you're used to quite a class of car. My other car's an Elise (love that too!)

(BTW - the top of your article says "Ferrari F320 Spider" in white above your name. Give it back that extra 100)

Thanks Gordie! It is my Lingenfelter-tuned C6 Z06 that makes my F430 feel slow. I bought them in the wrong order! :D

Thanks for spotting the typo, that has been amended now.

Very cool article, I enjoyed reading it a lot! What are the specs of your Z06 if it makes your F430 feel slow?! :)

Great article. I love the sound of 8,000 RPM! My neighbor does not, however.

LOL! But the noise-weenies here in the UK are really getting out of hand.
There are residents complaining at venues that have been there for decades!
Why did they buy a place near a race circuit then complain about noise?
The most ridiculous example is Donington Park which is literally right next to an international airport!

Thanks. It is a C6 Z06 that has had the Lingenfelter 616bhp cam kit fitted, so it's not surprising almost everything else feels slow!
