Hi guys, I’ve read that the soft top plastic window is replaceable but not super easy. Is there any guide with pictures or videos you know about? I have not been able to find anything. You could try a DIY method to "defog" it a bit with a little bit of polish for plastic lights used togheter with cotton pads used for make up remover. At the very end of the process a good wipe with a microfiber towel. It is a little "wavy"... but using a source of hot air could be even worse.
Polishing it is the way to go with Maguiars Plast-X or something similar. The replacement procedure is not easy and requires factory replacement plastic and specialized tools only a dealer might have and the entire top assembly has to be removed to do it properly. Basically there is a wire sewn into the perimeter of the top that has to be heated with a certain tool that can regulate the current to a point where the wire is hot but not burning through the top. The joint them melts enough to pull the old window out and the same procedure is done to install the new one. Not worth the hassle.
