Without knowing the facts it is a little harsh and premature to post these derogatory comments. Suppose the person in question was driving the speed limit and some yahoo made an illegal lane change and forced him into a ditch. Not only does he suffer the loss of his vehicle, the trauma of injuries to himself and family, but should he be a member of this forum, he has to see this unfounded attack on his character.

(On the other hand, if that's not the case, then by all means, throw him in jail.)

My opinion stands quiet until the story is revealed! for now I pray a safe recovery for all involved! If this is an accident from excesive speed, God help a man who rides like the wind with an Infant! If it was invasive driving to aviod a possiblle accident God grace the man who chose a Ferrari and saved his Infant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive asked my local dealer if there is any way to legally and safely drive in a 430 with an infant or toddler. I even had him call FNA to clarify his point. Simple answer = NO.

If this guy really did have a 3 month old in the car..I hope he is in a S**t ton of trouble..and of course I hope the baby is ok

It looks wet. Lots of HP+light car+ slippery surface in winter is not the best place for a ferrari.

Challenge64 you may be true about what your dealer has stated that it's illegal to transport your kid in such a fast car but if i'm correct you and your dealer live in the U.S. where there could maybe other laws to this. It could be that there are no laws for this in holland other than that the kid should be in child seat and that the passengers side airbag is off. I know my nephew drives his kids 3 and 5 year olds pretty often in his daily driver porsche wich is not a ferrari but still a fast car. Where it all comes down to is we can't pre-judge this man because we don't know how he was drving and if there where external factors which caused the accident. I know for example that when i drive my familys classical cars the factor wich brings the most danger are other people on the road who want to take a look at your car and do stupid actions to do so, and hey a ferrari is a vehicle wich draws such effect. I hope both people will be allright soon and if the driver did do something illegal sure he got to take the blame for it. But let's first wait what the outcome of all this will be.sry for bad english but i hope it readable and my point came out ok.

Thank you Challenge64 i will agree with you that in a any fast car where accidents having to do with speeding and drivers feeling like little schumachers will prolly occur more often and that it's therefore not safe to transport little children in these types of cars due to the bigger risks involving with the type of car. As to foskamink and CCCP like i said if it's the drivers fault he should be blamed for it if not let him be.

Isn't there a bracket or mount area for infant car seats on the 430? I am not at my house right now but I 'm positive there is a bracket behind the passenger seat on the fire wall! Also you can have the airbag with a disable switch. Before we pass judgement we should hear the whole story! Although it looks like he was being an idiot.. It may be that there is a totally different story! Old saying I live my life by " Just because you hear hoof beats coming does'nt always mean they are horses coming, they could be ZEBRAS!!!!

I hope that the guilty one for this incident gets punished and suffers a lot from it. If it was a real accident with no fault then I hope this doesn't happen to them again.
