Just sold my 360 Spider and I am going through severe FCar withdrawals. All cash buyer looking for a 2005-2006 430 spider in either red/tan or yellow/black. Strong service history with less than 15K miles.
+1 While you are looking, look for the same for me too, or if u pass on a good deal, be sure to pass it to me...lol
Sure....not! LOL. Nick, how about we divide the country in half. You take the east and I'll take the west? Seriously, PM me and we can compare notes.
There are more of us in the hunt right now too! Seriously, maybe we start a thread with notes and intel?
Sounds like a plan. Maybe make a sticky with all info we can pick up. Like the header, exhaust bracket,f1 pump and actuator. Am I forgetting anything? By the way I'm not too picky on miles.
I'm also in the market for 430 spider, sold 360 and now looking for something else, hate to say but I test drove a GT-R and was blown away must say not as pretty as a 360 or 430 but one hell of a car. If I don't find anything I may pick up GT-R.
OK, you guys PM me everything you find. I will compile it a post it for everyone....might take a few weeks I won't buy anything before notifying all of you ! Don't worry, trust me. LOL. If you haven't done it yet, check out searchtemptest.com to search nationwide Craigslist adds. Works well.
i've been thinking....possibly for sale. '07, Red/Tan, Spider, F1, 4300 ish miles Pics in both links. I bought this, (original sales link from STL) 2007 Ferrari F430 spider I did this, (full detail from Estoteric Detail in columbus, Todd Cooperider) Facebook-Todd Cooperider
My 2006 F430 F1 is in this area for sale. Pristine Red/Tan car with Challenge wheels. 2700 miles... never sat on seats. used seat cover like a nut as to not get jeans blue dye on seats. Cant get nicer. maybe a little cheaper but not nicer. My car is for someone looking for great car! Thanks
I saw your Ad...What a beauty! as much as i love it though, $174 is a bit outta my budget, and i wouldn't even wanna offend you with an offer nowhere near that. As someone else asked, yes, i have a 2002 Red/tan F1 spider with 8400 miles... Clean car fax, maintenance records etc. I'm either looking to trade into a dealer or sell on the market privately for a F430. Just havent found the right one. HOWEVER! I did find a nice one Red/tan for $119k with 11k miles... Why didnt i buy it you should ask? Apparently it had some damage that was repaired but i cant deal with a car with a dirty car fax. But being the gentleman i am, i will share with you guys and maybe if one of you guys can live with it, then hey, it can be yours! SPEAKING OF CARFAX's!!!! Anyone have like an unlimited subscription? Or have access to run multiple ones... In so many words, instead of us all dropping $40 at a clip just to get some info on a car... Maybe we can pool ours together ...I dont know...just throwing out ideas. Can you believe that some of these F$^%$&ing dealers have the nerve to not want to show you a car fax on a 140k car? I almost wanna curse them out and hang up the phone sometimes lol
Hey Nick, Thanks for sharing what you know about this car. The listing online is SO basic, they don't disclose much aside from the color combination. I have to confess that this car was "on my list" as far as me tracking it, but it wasn't near the top or assigned any sort of "priority" as one I'd like to buy personally. Two things going for it: 1.) Price is low, and 2.) close to my home, so I could easily drive it home without having to pay for shipping, saving some $$$. Unfortunately, since it has an accident on the record, I'll remove it from my search. Plus, I'm not too crazy about the interior - prefer tan over Cuoio. FWIW, Carfax has been wrong before, so I would recommend personally confirming the accident damage with the seller or with a personal inspection. If it's on AutoCheck AND CarFax, it's likely a legit claim. Thanks again, and happy hunting!
IdriveM5, To be honest with you, I didn't actually buy the Carfax on that 119k f430. I called to inquire and guy told me over the phone that it had damage to suspension etc. it has since been repaired but when I asked to see a copy of Carfax, the dealer refused... I came right out and said is all this damage and repair work on the Carfax and he said "more than likely". So just in the dealers tone, I knew the car had issues, so forget about it... I'm content with my 360 and don't "need" to get a new one just yet, so I'll just keep patient until the right one turns up...
I would be very careful before considering that F430 from those slick folks at Executive Auto Gallery. I drove and inspected that car about three weeks ago. Where do I start. Left front suspension totally damaged in the accident, repair was absolutely horrible. Dent in fender was repaired satisfactorily. Missing parts from the rear suspension. Interior totally trashed, battery leak ate the passenger side rug away. Headers need replacement. Convertible top not working properly. Damage on rear air dam. Wheel damage. Missing tools. I can go on and on. Engine and transmission did operate well as did the brakes. I estimate around $40K to put the car back into acceptable condition. More often than not...you get what you pay for.
And as a bonus you get a Salvage Title. These guys buy insurance wrecks and flood cars. They had over 100 cars from hurricane Sandy. They do a decent job trying to fix them up, but what they did to that F430 was a crime. A great place to get a "deal" but you will pay for it in the long run. They did have a really nice Bentley there for $37K, almost bought it...6000 pounds of turbo charged BMW powered car with an awesome interior. After we left the place we saw one of their 5 Series BMW specials, 75 miles North of the dealership.....broken down on the side of the road. The owner was on his cell phone.....most likely getting a busy signal. BTW I am looking for a nice Red/Tan F430 F1 Spider ..if you know of one. Actually I am looking for an F40...but am but short on funds...maybe next year. Best of luck on your quest for a "nice" 430. I saw (in person) a "really" nice 2005 Silverstone/Creama (beautiful color combo) F1 Spider down at Maserati Maine Line in Pennsylvania. Beautiful interior, I believe 7.500 miles or so, clear bra, MK2 headers. Straight-up dealership. Ask for Tony, mention my name. There is someone trying to buy the car last I knew.
Man, there's chum in the water... Meaning, there are a LOT of us in the market for Red/Tan F430's at the moment!!! Shhhhhhh! Don't tell the sellers!!!!!
Hey Fellas, I'm sure we've all seen this one: Cars for Sale: 2005 Ferrari F430 Spider in Miami, FL 33144: Convertible Details - 334658762 - AutoTrader.com Current ask is $109,917, it has >40k miles, 2005 car. Red/Tan. 7 Owners. Just wanted to let you know I had a friend run an AutoCheck report. It came back with two records worthy of note: 1. Mileage inconsistency at ~21k, around the same time an auction was reported on the car. 2. Repossession, October 2012. If those things are tolerable, the car can be yours. If you aren't comfortable with those records, move on. Just trying to help out the brotherhood. Good luck guys! Later!
Bob5013! Thank you so much for the info on that particular car! Imagine I was considering driving 150 miles in my 360 to negotiate a trade in!!! Boy would I have been mad!!! Lol
I just dropped the price of my 05 red spyder with 16k miles to $129.5k. I have my sights set on a different Ferrari. It's on Autotrader, cuoio interior upgrade with carbon. Btw, I've had both cuoio and tan (my 360). Cuoio is way better IMHO, tan is too light. Pics don't do it justice, must see in person. Just had full detail and optiguard coating put on (translation, $1500 detail job with scratch and water guard).
