Seems like the going rate for an 05 with 9000 miles to me?
    It's priced fair.

There was one in CT on ebay, no stories and had similar miles with blk top, sold for 128 or 130k. 132k for this particular car is nothing special at all.

Ferrari NE sold a 05' spider with 8500mi, silver on nero, no stories, $127k, just 2 weeks ago...Market has definitely dropped in the past 90days and as people anticipate the 458 spider.

Or it could be as snow grips the East coast. Spider, pretty much all convertibles, prices always go down in the winter. Even here in CA convertible prices are off during the winter. Hard to sell top down when it is raining or snowing.

    Hi,

My family owns this car. It is a 100% US spec car and comes with a certified letter from ferrari stating such.

Its a great car with the rare sport seats.

To anyone suggesting malfeasance in regards to the odometer... I assure you this car is 100% legit. Please do not publicly defame the car without actual knowledge of the car. On the F1 cars you can plug the car into the computer at any Ferrari store or any independent with the appropriate computer (SD2/3) and verify the miles to be 100% correct and actual.

If anyone has any questions please let me know. The car is privately owned, but is being advertised by a family friend at a dealer. The car can be purchased through the dealership or directly from the family. Whichever you are more comfortable with. The vehicle can also be taken over to Miller Motorcars for an inspection if desired as well.

Nothing to hide on a nice honest US Spec car with rare (possibly 50 2005s with these) carbon backed sport seats. I absolutely love these seats! These are more comfortable than the daytonas believe it or not!

It would be nice if the original poster would change the slightly less than desirable "allegedly 9000" miles title posting. It somewhat paints a bad picture of the car unnecessarily.

i would happily change my initial subject line if I could but wont allow to do do.

the reason i used 'alleged' is from my 13 years experience selling cars.
we sell about 70 cars per month and have been doing so consistently for some time.
from my 'limited' experience having solid over 10,000 cars, i can honestly tell you that most odometer fraud occurs when a vehicle is exported/imported.

a good friend used to buy land rover defender from the Emirates and bring them to the U.S and for some odd reason the clusters would 'magically' transform.. its amazing... must be the rough seas.

there is a reason why grey market vehicles are called 'grey market'.
think about.. not black or white.. but somewhere in the middle.

im sure the car is legit and my apologies if this is misconstrued.... i think its a great deal and i would just right up on it if you change to black top.

understood completely. And I am not trying by any means to underwrite your opinion on the car or your car expereince etc... I would never do that either and I hope, and Im pretty sure I didn't imply that in my post. If so I do apologize. My intentions are just to inform that the car is a good car and the seller is in good faith.

I guess I would just like to reiterate that the car was imported by my family, who owned the car there and did bring it in. The car is 100% US car, and being a 100% US car it still bears its original instrument cluster and all miles are verifiable through the cars ECU as well.

I totally understand your words of caution and have seen much of what you are referring to regarding mileage discrepancies and your word of caution is absolutely valid and just. I just want to inform people that this is an honest and open transaction and it is a good car etc...

I will say this... the cars price is negotiable... so if you want the 1500 off for the black top thats not a problem whatsoever.

I love that car! I love the seats in that car! They should be on almost all the cars in my opinion! They are probably the most undervalued option on the 430 in my opinion... I would much rather have those seats than say... Carbon Ceramic Brakes... but again... just my opinion...

I also like the top... because well it is different. but thats why they offer them in different colors. everyone has there own tastes... Sometimes i think the red is a bit much, but when the top is down (which is the only time the car gets driven) you don't see it and on the rare occasion when the top is up... it is a little different and I like it but hey... I like Massa over Alonso too... Button over hammi... and I do think Schuey will make a big comeback next year... see... im just a lil off... LOL at least I admit it!!!

When I bought my 05 F430 coupe back in May of 2009, I passed on a 2006 Black/Black Spyder, Original Owner, 13,000 miles, 6 speed for $126,000. Asking and selling prices are two very different animals.

I ended up paying $132,000 for mine that only had 5,000 miles and came from a Ferrari Dealership with warranty and the F1 I wanted, not to mention CCB and carbon fiber interior upgrades.

There is a Scuderia here locally for $165K.
