    Hi All,

I've been reading this forum for a few months. A lot of very useful information for a novice owner like me.

I finally bought my first ferrari: F430, RED Color with Cream Interior.
    Will post pictures soon!!
Very happy and excited to own one, but worry about the cost of ownership (my finger crossed). One of the reason I bought this car instead of 360 cos I read that F430 has less problems.

But, just after a week of ownership, the suspension warning lights (Car symbol with 2 triangle beneath the tires) lights up. I tried to reset the tire pressure by pressing the button to calibrate and drive it for 15-20mins but the warning lights still persist. I don't know whether the TPSM has anything to do with this, but tried it anyway.

Brought it to my mechanic. He checked all suspensions, luckily everything is fine. The ECU also was resetted. The battery also was disconnected and reconnected. But no luck. He suspect that the shock absorber electronic control unit (part#215533) is at fault.
Is this a common problem with F430? Mine is year 2006 with around 15,000 miles.
I also asked my mechanic to check the accelerator sensor and he said they are fine.

This warning lights up when I put the key in II position, after CHECK OK and stays on while I'm driving. Quite annoying because I cannot see the clock anymore.
My mechanic told me to drive it for a few days and see if the warning lights will go away by itself. Is this true? Will keep driving the car be bad for the car? Any idea or past experience from expert fellow ferrari owners?

The part is quite expensive here.

    Thanks!

Not to hijack the thread at all, but I have the same problem (except I have a 360). Comes on after about 10 minutes driving. I know tire pressures a not the problem. And it turnes on sport mode of the suspension (lots tighter and can feel the smalles bump like when I manually switch it to sport mode). Can these problems be similar, and is it common?

    Hi Bob,

I read somewhere in this forum. If the suspension warning lights up after driving the car, then the problem might be with your accelerator sensor. Have you checked it with your mechanic. Hope this helps!
