    Hi,
Need to take off the drivers side doorpanel on my 2008 F430 in order to adjust a little bit the doorhandle switch that controls the window.
Can anyone of you help me out with clarifying step-by-step the screws and clips that I need to remove for taking off the door trim? Ideally by pointing on the photo...

    Thanks, Jan

I just love that color leather, same as my 360's.

You're welcome. I only know about that post because I have a window problem in my '07 F430. I decided to take it to my mechanic...

    Jan,

    Some additional thoughts.

When I got inside my doors (to install CF latches and tweeter triangles), I found a big wad of disintegrating (what else in a Ferrari?) foam in an L-shape around the big speakers in the bottom of the door. I just pulled it out, cleaned up the mess and went on.

When it was time to put the panel back on the little “Kilroy” clips on the top of the panel absolutely refused to engage the top of the door, so I had to bend the appropriate spots of the top of the door structure inboard a bit (1/16” – 1/8”) to allow the clips to catch the top edge.

On the driver’s door, I re-attached the bottom of the little pocket, just forward of the left door latch, with Velcro for possible future re-invasions. That little bottom panel covers a screw that keeps the panel fastened to the left door structure.

The plastic escutcheon surrounding the door latches seemed to shrink on removal. I cut a small block of wood about ¼” longer than the inside of the escutcheon was wide at its widest point. I wedged the block into the escutcheon and then heated the bottom of the molding until the escutcheon was permanently wider than before so it fit snugly in the hole in the arm rest and didn’t rub on the door latch.

Replacement plastic Christmas trees may be had from your local auto parts store or you can pay ten times as much at the dealer.
