Just got an f430 and was trying to put the top down in the garage, friend closed the door right after the processes started which froze it. Repressing the button didnt work. Taking the key and then putting it back in didnt work. Then I tried starting the car and it wont start, now its showing cst malfunction and suspension malfunction errors. Any suggestions?

Starting to think the battery is dead since the headlights dont want to turn on now. Is it possible to charge the battery enough with the charger that came with the car?

I'm sure others with more technical knowledge will chime in but it does sound like battery and no unfortunately the charger will only maintain charge.

In my experience opening/closing the soft top is heavy on the battery if the engine is not running - I always try and avoid doing it on battery power alone.

if u can verify its not the battery just standing on the brake pedal with all your weight. in the 430 the sensors on the brake pedal goes and you have to literally stand on it to get the push button to work

Left it on the charger all night until the green light came on. Now she starts and everything in fine. Thanks for the replies.

I too have revived a dead battery with the battery tender provided by Ferrari.

The Ferrari battery tender does the job. It just takes forever. The unit only outputs a maximum of .8 amps. If you have a dead battery, it may take well over a day to restore the battery to full. It would be nice if the other higher capacity chargers used the Ferrari plug, but they don't.
