I have a 2005 F430 (USA) and was about to replace all four of my TPMS pressure sensors. The manual suggests that there are two different versions -- one at 433MHz for Europe and one at 315MHz for USA and CDN. It says "check that the sensor frequency corresponds with the system frequency." Ricambi shows two part numbers, 224549 "not for J" and 199418 "valid for J", so I ordered 224549, and they turn out to be the 433MHz ones.

I haven't pulled the tires off the wheels yet to see what's in there right now, does anyone happen to know if the 433MHz sensors will work with my car, or did I get the wrong thing?

    Thanks!

The 433 is correct for your car. Do you know how to start the calibration after they are replaced? Hopefully you take it to a repair shop that does. Some 430's can be a pain to set with new sensors

    Thanks.

Yes, I have read what the workshop manual and owners manual say on the topic, which only talk about pressing the calibration button under the dash. I've done that procedure several times prior to attempting to replace the sensors and it only worked for me once. I also have read the SD3 documentation on the TPMS stuff, but it's not particularly useful.

I figure my car is plenty old enough that the most likely problem is that I have at least one failing battery in the sensors. If it turns out to be too much trouble, I'll probably just have someone with an SD3 turn off the TPMS, it's not really worth the hassle to me.

That was over 6 years ago. His early F430 takes 433 MHz sensors, so am guessing they worked fine.

You can always stop by a tire shop with a TPMS scanner, I just scanned a f430 in the shop for service and it was a 315MHz.

Michael- I had worked mostly with the early F430s, which used the orange RDE001 sensors, and those were 433.9 MHz. Had not seen anything of the newer ones that used 315 MHz. Tried to fit the RDE001s to my 575M, which needed RDE004 sensors (315 MHz). A friend in Australia got a good deal on the orange ones.

ALL F430's have a TPMS that is ultra specific depending on the ASSEMBLY number of the car. If you give me the last six of your vin I can tell you the exact MHz and part number used!

Per YOUR vin and assembly number, the correct TPMS is Ferrari part #312450, 433MHz. Please note that there have been part number supersessions but as of this message, the correct Ferrari part number, for YOUR vin number, is 312450 at 433MHz.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that with Ferrari TPMS, the part number is almost as important, if not more, than anything else. Granted MHz play a key factor but sizes and functionality vary depending on the FERRARI part number. You can have two TPMS that are both 433MHz but if the Ferrari part numbers aren't the same, inevitably, you'll run into fitment/compatibility issues.

Per the vin number you supplied, the correct OEM TPMS is Ferrari part #282189.

Replacing the ECU is pretty rare, but if you do need to replace it, the OEM Ferrari part number, per your vin, is part #244952.

Per your vin number, the ORIGINAL Ferrari part number was 185189. That said, that number has been superseded to part #312450.
