    Anyone know if there has been any software updates on the F430's? I thought I read somewhere that there was a F1 software update a few years back, that made the shifts quicker and smoother.... I had asked a ferrari dealership if they can tell me if this is true or not, but they were being diks and wouldnt tell me, unless my car was in for service..

    Significant changes for the 2008 model year, cars began being built with upgrades late 2007 but some cars as late as early 2008 used the older parts so it is worth searching out the April 2008 onwards cars.
    The F1 system was upgraded with new actuator hardware and the system was improved by all accounts, some say the shifts are quicker but I don't think anyone on here as posted documentary evidence to confirm this. I think from what I understand the upgrades were centred around improving smoothness in the change (which may give the illusion of a quicker shift) and reliability and longevity.

    There were other improvements for 08 including headers, brakes and equipment.
