Does anybody knows if replacement headlight lenses either aftermarket or VALEO OEM can be purchased. I would like to restore my headlights since there are some micro cracks and hazing in some areas but can’t seem to find replacements for it. I wonder if VALEO would be interested in making a batch if enough interest is out there.
Just had mine sent off via Esoteric in New Albany OH. They look great upon unboxing. I cannot personally speak about the longterm performance yet but am hoping it will be a forever fix. Give them a ring and ask for Max. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good afternoon all, The car is at Esoteric for a full detail ( paint, engine bay, interior) / paint correction, ppf removal and redo, sticky buttons, etc. The headlights were done by Clear Corners so please direct any specific questions to those guys there. I have not had any direct interaction with them as Max at Esoteric has handled all of the logistics seamlessly for me. Clear Corners says this is a 100% fix for the headlights and I must say in the photos of "after" initial impressions are impressive. I have read on here the cause could be the off gassing of the carbon matting or some component there of interacting with the lens coating. The micro cracks are apparently nicknamed "crows feet" and its oxidation which can occur not just on the headlights but painted surfaces in general. Should you all have sticky button questions Esoteric does perform this service in house so they can speak to that process. Photos below for your viewing prowess. I will have the sticky button photo before and after if anyone is interested separately on that subject. Plenty of posts on this. The carbon lights have a coating on the inside that is the problem causing the webbing as it ages. The headlights need to be split and the coating removed completely. Its not a very nice job at all to split the lenses then its all about getting a nice even OEM bond back on, the rest is easy! Done it twice now, for me and a friend, and its a blood sweat and tears job!
