I'd kill for a garage with a nice comfortable sedan, an F430 Spider, and a Z06. Then again, I'd kill for just an F430... ;)

That seems to be a really great garage. The Z06 is very fast but not as much fun to drive, so it's like an in-between car from the sedan and F430. I don't think if I had a garage like that it would get too many miles though. Sedan=when I wanna relax, F430 when I wanna have fun... when would I use the Z? Not much ;)

Have you driven both? Or are you just basing this on mag results?

I would like to know from someone that is

    1) NOT biased just because it is a "Chevy"
    2) has diven both

    So, anyone?

Of course, based on mag numbers, the F430 doesn't stand a chance, atleast past the 1/4 mile. But, I want to know real world experiences.

The guys at C & D claim in thier December issue, that they were able to run a 3.4 sec 0-60 when they finally figured out how to launch it without shreading the tires. I can't imagine that they would print a lie. Assuming they inflated thier claim, I would still guess it is capable of 3.6 or 3.7 at the worst. I don't think anyone needs to put them side by side to figure out the Z will win! Let me know if you get the chance to try it though Fadi. I would be interested in the result. I can tell you based on my experience that the real issue is the launch. It is really hard to launch the car without blowing the tires away. I wonder what it would run on a set of drag slicks! BTW I managed to get a .94G turn out of it yesterday and I could tell it could have done more. It takes a bit to get use to going that fast in a turn.

Great Video...After seeing the F50 again, the car just gets better and better with age. Definately has been and will continue to be my favorite exotic.

Amen. Me too. But going with the 430 spider. Z06 is already in the garage. Had the 430 coupe, but prefered my 360 spider so will resort back to the spider in the spring.

The Corvette Z06 is absolutely the best sports car buy on the planet. Even with the premium charged by many of the greedy bastard ****head Chevrolet dealers in the USA. This would be an incredible daily driver.

But then, on weekends, I would rather drive the F430. Biggest difference, the F430 has this prancing horse emblem, and also the emblem "Ferrari" placed strategically on the vehicle. Those two little items, make all the difference in the world.

She's ordered... Victory red with black leather/gray accents on the side bolsters......Help me! (Actually, my son will be the owner as he will be paying me payments instead of making them to GMAC.) It should look sharp parked with the Murcielago and Diablo.
