F430 F430 2007 7300 miles will not start or turn over and cannot get it out of reverse. Pump does turn on. I just added fabspeed header and new motor mounts. I have wheel wells off and car is on a lift without tires. I was going to start it and let warm up to check for leaks etc.
Got into car and turn ignition on and alarm sounded. Car did not turn over and cannot shift out of reverse. Is there a safety feature to prevent start up without wheels and air sensors. I am finishing closing it up and hope it will turn over. Battery charged. No issues going on lift. If I pull back paddles an ediff code lights up. Zia

If the alarm went off and it wont start it sounds like the security system immobilizer is disabling the ignition. It has nothing to do with the car being on the lift or the wheels being off. Did you disconnect any electrical connectors in the engine bay?
Close the doors. Lock the car with the remote. Unlock it with the remote. Get in. Try and start it.

Alarm did go off. Turned off main power before doing anything to car. I did lift on engine block to gain access to motor mount. By lifting it 2 inches. Will try again tonight. Thanks for help

    Try This (Post# 12 and 18)

    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/f430-immobilizer-problem-please-help.558426/

Post 12: "put the car on a charger. Leave the key in accessories for 10 minutes. Remove the key and repeat 3 times.
make sure its a good charger something that will be over 12V the whole time.

Post 18: "Yes, a few different times on several 430s that have been here at the shop. Mine most recent since I was doing work on it and had the battery disconnected for a while and had it in the air. the Immo wouldn't even read on my scan tool until i did this procedure. Not saying it'll work. But its worth a shot. After the 3rd cycle the Lock would disappear. Almost like the older Chevy's where you needed to leave the key in the ignition for an hour or something like that."

Still waiting for last 10 minutes. Have car on charger. Did put wheels on it. Did not state before but foot brake does not depress and tail light are stuck on. Still have alarm going off inside. No other faults on cluster.

If immobilizer is not the problem Check the battery disconnect in the frunk.
