Hypothetically speaking would it be worth repairing any F50 if the carbon tub was damaged and how readily availible are spares for F50's bearing in mind that they have been out of production for so long.

Realistically such a job would could only be carried out by Ferrari...

There is a story to this but havent seen the pictures yet so not too sure how bad the incident is.

There are more guys here that can chime in better than I. But from what I have understood there are only a small handfull of guys world wide that can successfully do these types of repairs. Such as a little known shop near the factory that starts with a Z :)

Also, a quik search on fchat brings this up http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=141534&highlight=tub+repair

If you are thinking of buying a smashed F50 to restore I would HIGHLY suggest you make the right connections at Ferrari BEFORE you buy, bcus if they decline your request for a tub or helping to fix the tub you just flushed your $$$$ away

Interesting, am not looking at buying but I may have become aware of an F50 that was crashed recently and is apparently quite badly damaged and it seems to me there probably are not any places in Africa that could repair a damaged tub....

There is much more to this story that I hope to post soon....

Good luck trying to get a new tub from the factory.
I bought ZFFTA4GB000106760 post wreck as a track car project and couldn't get a new tube out either the front or the back of the factory.
The price quoted at the time was approx 50k Euro but this did not mean that they were willing to restamp the VIN # on the monocoque.
I ended up selling the project after over a year of trying and later heard that Carrozzeria Zanasi ended up witt the project.
Rumor has it that the bill approached phone # territory and the owner ended up walking form the car (lawsuits etc).
On a side note if the car is yellow and in Africa then proceed with caution.
4/5 years ago this car was in Beverly Hills and was treated very poorly by it's "owner" before he relocated back home.
    Again, best of luck.
