removed!
Looks like the guy got rear ended? I know that intersection and that area very well, Federal and Hidden Valley. My biggest fear in this area is being rear ended. I always watch my rear view mirror and leave at least a car length in front of me until the car behind me stops completely.
Since the F50 got rear ended it is almost certainly the other driver's fault. Can you imagine the call to the insurance agent.... Uh I just hit a Ferrari F50... Most important thing is it looks like no one was hurt. Sorry for the car and owner.
What's up?? Why did you remove the pic? If it was at the request of a party inolved I can understand that... perhaps you should ask a mod to delete the thread if that is the case...
Hopefully it's easily repairable, but I would like to see a picture if possible. The F50 is my favorite Ferrari and hearing/seeing one damaged isn't good at all.
Any referrals for a great Ferrari Alignment shop? Is experience with exotics important? Boca/E. Broward area preferred. TIA!
I have been contacted by a representative of the owner and have been asked to remove them. In the conversation we realized who posted them and the representative has contacted the poster to have them removed and altered since they showed the owners face, which he rather not want. So I am sure we get them back online once they are altered. For political reference, NO, the mods did not delete them. You can blame me and Paulie for a lot, not for that one. and yes, I am responsible for the sunset at 7:15pm.
If anyone would like to see the car or pictures you are more than welcome in a private "forum." I felt it was nessecary to contact the original creator of the thread and ask him to remove the photos out of respect for my client and others involved. Thanks Martin! Thanks Mark!
Sorry about the alignment mis-post. I wondered where that reply/post went. Hope the F50 damage was not too bad. How did it look?
I'm just curious what the original photograph showed? If it was taken on a public street, there's not much that anybody can do to prevent the photo from being shown. Our news photographers run into this all the time. People screaming and yelling "Don't take my picture!", and grabbing the camera with their hands. But the time tested legal situation is that if a photographer is on public property, then "tough luck". A photographer can stand on the street or a sidewalk and take pictures of anybody all day long. Of course if the legal ownership of a particular photograph is the questionable matter, then that's a whole 'nother can of worms. And of course if somebody wanted to remove the photos just to be a nice guy and not show an owner during his time of grief over his wrecked car, then that's understandable. But nobody cut Steffan any slack when he wrecked his Enzo!
In Response to HorseFly: We sold this car to a good friend of the family 5 or 6 years ago. The car lived with us for many years and we made many modifications. One of the fastest F50s around. It is upsetting for everyone involved. A door dent is upsetting on a Ferrari! The car will be ready for Dec 8 and 9 dont worry! I asked Marc who started the thread if he minded taking down the pictures. Considering we are great friends he had no hesitations. I hope everyone can understand this. It is purely out of respect for the privacy of a great ferrari lover and great guy!
I truly am not looking to start an argument but this has got to be one of the silliest things I have heard. Here's a guy out driving his F50 on a public Street and someone posts a picture of him and it and it is requested that it be removed to protect his privacy.....come on give me a break. Anyone who wants privacy does not cruise around in a F50 (even if it is one of the fastest ;-) What does he do when he has to put gas in it? wear a mask to protect his privacy/identity............ Can you imagine wanting to protect your privacy and at the same time driving a ferrari around Boca. Paul
You have a great point. This really has to do with the fact it was involved in a accident. "...this has got to be one of the silliest things I have heard..." but then again people tell me, i am a pretty silly guy : )
AOE, This wouldn't be because the owner doesn't want a record of damage, would it? I'm not trying to dis your friend, but it is what came to mind...... I can understand if he's a bit embarrassed, but many here have been man enough to say a mistake was made. Personally, I'd like to see them........... I might be in the market in a few years.
