in Dupont i recently saw a f50 for sale for 250,000 but it did have 20,000 miles on it. Other ones i have seen for sale are twice as much with 8,000 or so miles. So my question is do people pay 250g more for 10k less miles?? and would 250k for a f50 with 20k be a good buy??

    As a reference, an F40 is worth $300 - $350K.

Something is wrong with the deal, IMO. Although the F50 will never approach the F40 in popularity, IMO. It didn't when new.

You're stating the question in reverse IMO.

It's not that they are paying MORE for less miles, but that high miles is worth LESS, in the market.

The market is not always value this fairly, as obviously 20K miles is not going to hurt this vehicle. It shows how much value on these type cars is subjective, based upon assessment of the "collectors"

As a driver my cars follow a set depreciation, from when I get it, to 100K miles later, when it is worn out!

check this for a general reference. not sure how often the prices are updated, so can be slightly off date. but shouldn't be off more than 5% at most. http://www.qv500.com/ferrarif50mr.htm

no such thing as a good deal on an F50. even at 20K miles, maybe none of the service has been done to it? shot tires, clutch, pads, or fluid hasn't moved an inch in 5 years. who knows, without further details. so, unless you are serious about shelling out 250K for it, I'm not sure it's worth the argument.

    Good link Randy!

That does indeed show 250K Pounds Sterling as the LOW number.

...out of interest, the UK magazine 'EVO' just did an issue comparing the Ferrari supercars (288,F40,F50,ENZO). The surprising (...and I thought very well researched) result was that the F50 is the best of the bunch.

In what regard? Performance? No way.

Looks, I think so. But that is about it!

Evo rated the F50 as the best Ferrari on an overall basis. All 4 cars were given 5/5 stars but they came to the conclusion that the F50 offers the driver everything on a bigger doseage than the other cars. Sure the Enzo is faster, 288GTO arguably better looking, but the way the F50 is uncompromised really sealed the deal.
