If it's really him who bought it, I'm moving to Mont-Tremblant tomorrow morning. ;)

I read on this forum that the first owner, in New Orleans, sold the car because he couldn't drive it to work. No garage queens! I believe it's the same owner that has the highest mileage F50 (it's black with about 50k miles last I heard).

I was hoping it wouldn't sell so I would win the lotto and buy the car :D

No kidding? Do you know if that was the F50 gt #3 that your talking about? Because the 1st is owned by some rich guy here in Beverly hills and the 2nd is owned by a Japanese collector.

I hate people who garage thier cars, they must be driven at least twice a month.

Yes, the 3rd one was originally bought by a man named Jim Spiro in New Orleans. Sold to someone in Australia and then put up for sale by that person and shipped it to the UK. I don't know why they shipped it to the UK to sell it though...

I believe Oakfields bought the car off Maranello Sales in AUS and put it up for sale...

Nope -it's owned by Art Z (forgot how to spell his last name) and he lives in the Bay Area (Palo Alto I believe).

Not the same person at all. It was owned out of California. Not street legal at all. It was crashed a couple of years ago and was being rebuilt for quite a while before it came on the market for sale. Jim Spiro would have known this car well as it had been at the New Orleans run a time or two and would have known it was not legal.

I met Art a couple of years ago when he had the car in Dallas and then again about six months after it was wrecked. I talked to him extensively and he was planning on rebuilding and keeping it at that time.

Ummm. 003 has never been crashed. 001 (Arts car) was crashed heavily a few years back and took a year + to fix, it crashed again on its debut this summer at Monteray but the crash wasn't as bad as before.

003 was owned by Jim Spiro, then sold off, went through some dealers, ended up in Australia where it was kept at Maranello Motorsports for a while, then it was sold to Oakfields in the UK.
