Found this very interesting considering how long ago Ferrari created the F50 and it is an open top car. For the new Lamborghini Aventador it takes "35,000 Newton-meters per degree of deflection. By comparison of stiffness, the Koenigsegg CCR is 28,100 Nm, the Ferrari F50 is 34,600 Nm, and the existing Murcielago is 20,000 Nm."

Is that with or without the roof?

I don't think the roof is structural, only on the GT1's.

Yes carbon fiber is much stiffer than a steel chassis. I expected the Koenigsegg to be closer to the F50 to be honest.

Zonda F at 27000 is somewhat surprising (it does have a carbon tub but also steel front and rear frame to help minimize insurance cost) , but then I saw the Carrera GT at only 26000 which really surprised me because it is all carbon, even the engine subframe.

    Veyron allegedly at 60000...Wow.

We have nothing to compare to besides other supercars.
what about cars like Civic, M3, and C7Vette for context?

Lot of variations there that I wasn't expecting.

Yeah, get the coupe if you want performance from the chassis. The coupe was 14455.

2015 M3's torsional stiffness is over 40,000 Newton-meters per degree, approaching that of the 2004 BMW M3 GTR race car, which used a steel-tube roll cage to reach 46,000 Nm/deg.

BMW's are amazing performers right out of the box a lot because of stiffness. Ferrari seems to like to use the chassis as part of the suspension.

    360 spider pretty bad!

Wonder what a Saab 900 Cabrio has . They flex on their own when there is a strong breeze on....!

Can't be accurate, can it? Perhaps the body but the chassis is one massive tube frame with rose joints!

LOL, That's what made the Cobra AC so special. It bent like a rubber band.

That is also what I think. Maybe the body (as evidenced by the cracks next to the side vents). The chassis is a good tube frame.

I can't seem to find that one.

The highest I can find of any car is the Koenigsegg Agera R @ 65,000 Nm/degree: Agera R Configurator I knew there was yet another reason why it's still my favorite currently produced supercar. :)

I've often wondered what the F50 would be capable of in a track configured tire/suspension setup and a mild engine tune. These numbers suggest that the chassis might handle a lot more than otherwise normal road stress.
