Looks awfully like it. However, the Konig F50 is a euro spec one and NOT a US spec one, as seen in the pic - so who knows? Im confused but its still cool! I've only seen 1 F50 and that was Red - so it would be great to see yours sometime scott - are there any events coming up where i could get a chance to use my new digital camera?
The F50 is off the road at the moment. The interior is out and it is getting a bit of a clean up. It should be ready in the next few weeks. I was asked to put it on display at the new dealership in Melbourne. It might be there in January; but arrangements haven't been made yet.
Looks better with the yellow lights scott. Btw, any reason for having a photo of the car with one yellow headlight and one black one, as indeed it does look odd
I didn't like the black lights either; but I didn't want to paint the existing ones as it is rather hard to undo it. I found a second hand set in England, bought those and repainted them yellow. Now I have a black set and a yellow set. I didn't take the photo, Carl and Phil did in the process of swapping the sets over.
the difference is huge, it looks so much better with color co-ordinated headlights! they should have done it on all of the F50s IMO, as with the clear indicators
I prefur it with the black headlights. I dunno why but i just like it. I've always been an "against the grain" kind of guy
not the Koenig...it doesnt have the air inlets over the rear wheels, and no blow off valve in between shifts. same wheels though...but thats about it.
sorry to bump this thread up but I have the high quality video of the debatable Koenig F50 available. Please post or PM me for the link. Its hosted on yousendit so the downloads are limited.
Jason, do you want me to host it for you? I can do it on either rapidshare or my site. I would prefer rapidshare tho. Let me know, i have the vid. Chris btw, hows the camera going?
Here is Jason's video, i hope he doesn't mind me posting it, this way we can all see it http://rapidshare.de/files/12993556/ferrari_f50_ride.wmv
Chris, the video you posted is low quality. I just made one in high quality at 180MB thats why i couldnt host it on rapidshare. Also I'm having a great time with the camera I got a new lens (18-200mm) a couple weeks ago so I should have a fun time shooting at the track now! -Jason
Ok. I see, how big is your vid? Don't tell me you got the 2.8 Shame no Ferrari Challenge at Lime Rock this year and i'm going to have to miss the Vintage Fest this year because its the "moving in" day at college.
The full name of the lens is- Tamron AF18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di-II LD Aspherical (IF) MACRO You should try and come up for American Le Mans or Rolex GT Series. Also get on aim so I can send you the video link.
Cool, i'll check out that lens. I'll be at some Pocono and Watkins Glen events in May time, i dunno if thats too far for you or not. If you email me the vid, i have an idea on how to host it Keep on shooting Chris
I got a ride in the F50 that was at Ferrari of San Francisco's service center a few years back. Sort of a right time, right place thing. Sound was just amazing. I wish I had gotten more then a 10 min. ride. But still amazingly cool.
Have also sit in one... Had the chance to ride in one last summer at a trackevent but i couldent go to the event. Hope the chance came back somtime...
video- http://s59.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3N491A7FTDN4D383793WZS7I68 its 180MB and very high quality.
Its confirmed that the F50 I rode in was NOT the Koenig F50. It was an F50 with modded exhaust and rims.
