As diehard Ferrari as I am, this time I would have to go with the CGT. Make mine Black/Black please!! If we were talking F40, or Enzo ........... it would be the Ferrari, hands down!! But the F50 .......... as hard as i try, it does absolutely nothing for me.

bull. i'll agree with that when i see scott do a 1.48 at PI or a 62 at calder on p-zeros that an F50 is as fast as an F40. it'll have to do better than that before i'll agree that it's faster. personally, i can't see it happening, but if it does...well good for the F50, i spose

CGT is a masterpiece, and I love everything about it, but if I had the chance to buy an F50, I wouldn't hesitate.

It's a fact that the F50 is faster around a track than the F40. On the drag strip though, F40 pulls away. On a similar note, the F50 GT was even faster than the 333 sp around Fiorano.
The F50 and CGT are actually pretty similar in design. My vote goes to the F50, which is one of the rarest F cars, and it has great road presence and ability. The CGT is no less an astonishing car, and its engine sound can't be beat.

    Small "F1" V12 w/open top = No contest

UNLESS Someone gets on the damn ball and opens up the CGTs exhaust one of these days! Then we might have a problem :)

The CGT sounds like nothing else you've ever heard. The noise when it starts up is closest to a modern F1 car. The sound on the track, running really hard, close to redline is otherworldly. It's hard to believe you're in a car that sounds so....incredible!

no my dear friend , you`re stupid.

The thread is F50vs CGT , it`s not a thread about who`s BETTER . Got it , cheese eater ?

The first question of the thread is : ''which would you rather have ?''

Open your eyes before replying . ok ?

I have a CGT and would trade it for an excellent specimen F50.

Then I would go buy another CGT.

Go with the car that excites you a little more. They are both excellent cars and I think the price ($400k for new CGT, $700k for best specimen F50) are in line.

The only trick is finding the right F50. It could take months or even a year to find the right one. You will not have problem finding a perfect CGT today.

If you are going to put on a lot of miles or if you want the better performance car for the track, it is the CGT. If it is another specimen for the garage, finding an excellent F50 (even if it takes you a year) is a rewarding purchase
