I just want to say that the Ferrari F50 is the sexiest and most beautiful piece of machinery to ever come out of Maranello. I would take an F50 over an Enzo any day of the week. Yum.
Interestingly enough...I don't even have a color preference. They are all so strikingly attractive! Wow...there isn't another car that sends a warm and fuzzy sensation up and down my spine every time I think about one... (Sorry, La Bella! )
Cool man!! After seeing 360C's Giallo/black F50...............thats the colour Id have! Here are some pics. Its an amazing machine in person. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
If the Enzo Ferrari came in a manual 6 speed gear box then I'd take the Enzo over the F50 so F50 will be my choice any color whether RED, YELLOW, BLACK, SILVER, OR WHITE.
In general, I would agree with this, as well. Much faster than 288 GTO, Much rarer than F40, and much better looking than the Enzo. 15 years ago, I used to think the F50 was not too attractive, as compared to the F40. Back in the day, the F40 was beauty-in-carnate, on every college guys dormroom, next to the justification for higher education poster. Now, the F50's look has grown on me to the point that I think it is the best looking of the supercars. Watch the Video of the parade of the supercars all traveling together to the Cars and Coffee in SoCal: 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo. The F50 clearly looks and sounds the most impressive in the bunch. That is saying a lot, because I would give my right arm and leg for "any" of those in the bunch. It's really funny how your taste can change over time.
Add me to the F50 fan club. It remains my absolute favorite Ferrari and probably will continue in that place for quite a long time. I had the good fortune to see one just a few weeks ago thanks to a generous person who brought it out to Supercar Sunday in SoCal. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you! "Not bad for a mall parking lot..." as I have said many times now. Slightly larger and higher quality versions are available from my Flickr gallery for that day, along with several other shots of the car. Supercar Sunday - February 14th, 2010 I also have the originals tucked away on my PC, so if there are any of those people would like to have for personal use, just let me know. >8^) ER
Ditto. 1. 288 GTO. It looks fantastic, strong and like a doped 308 with more muscles. I like it. I do not like to drive fast. I just love to feel. 2. F50. It looks evil. In the summer, F50 is probably the best super Ferrari you can drive. 3. F40. Unforgettable driving experience. But as I said, I do not like to drive fast and You should be a pretty skilled driver to enjoy it. But I am not really a good driver. But F40 has passion and emotion like 288 GTO and F50. 4. Enzo. It is not ugly. But the more I see the car, the uglier it gets. It has no emotion and passion to me. And it is computerized. It is much easier to handle than F40. It is damn fast, but forgettable experience to me. P.S. I drove all of them.
Doubtful. I like my cars raw, and race car like. Plus the F40 just looks heads and heels better then the rest to me. Maybe the bottom two would switch, but that is about it.
Different strokes. F40 just doesn't do it for me. I could get into the GTO, but the F50, to me, is as close to perfection as you can get.
I agree, the F50 is the most beautiful car to come out the gates since some of the classics. My favourite colours are the Azzuro Cali, Dark Metallic Red and Silver.
Why? Because the engine is a stressed member? The F40 interior alone is more sparse and defined. Overall the F40 is closer if you ask me....
I'd have to disagree. I can see your point on the interiors...to be polite, the F40 is pretty sparse. Overall though, the F50 was designed from the beginning to be an F1 racer for the road. The engine, the carbon monocoque, the engine as a stressed member, rigidly mounted anti-roll bars. Even the fuel tank is a sekur bag like in a race car. Pretty much everything was designed to make you feel like you are in a race car for the road.
