Hey guys--just popped over from the F355 side of things for quick question. I just bought a watch (GP-F50). the back is engraved with what appears to be a Ferrrai VIN--at least it starts off like my 355. Can anyone tell me if it is and if it is one for an F50? ZFFTA46B000102813 Thanks for any information y'all might have
That vin didn't sound familiar, as they started with 103***ending at 107*** , but when I check 102813 I found this old article which has been discussed quite a bit on here in relation to the 999999 car/cars. Written by Sheehan, article can be seen here . http://www.ferraris-online.com/pages/article.php?reqart=SCM_200705_SS ******Adding yet another dimension to the madness, there were also a total of seven pre-production or prototype F50s built, those being 95592, 98170, 99999 x 4, 100825, 101919, 102474, 102813 and 102816. The punch line to all this was that none of the various iterations of s/n 99999 was for sale, and the client was being offered what is referred to in the trade as a “ghost car.”********** For those that know the article here is the quote which mentions the vin, I'm surprised that the watch and shoes package was offered with these cars too, this maybe a way the truth will oust, regarding the 3 or 4 999999 cars which are out there if we locate the watches. Anybody know where the 999999 watches are. ?
that would be great but i dont know the vin all i know it was brand new from midwestern in ohio back then he was their best f car customer when the lease was up he bought it kept for some time and then sold in around 1999 to marshall goldman here in cleveland and they sold the car but know clue were is now.
