F512M AC LEAK AT COMPRESSOR UNION

my highly used M has developed a leak at the low pressure union, p/n 162636

any one repaired or replaced same ?

you may go to an AC-repair shop, I think they can make you one

 

I would first confirm if the leak is being caused by a leaking o-ring just needing simple replacement before looking at the replacement of the union. Is the leak where the union screws into the compressor, or where the low pressure hose connects to the union. EDoug

 

or even if the little schraeder valve on the union is leaking as it has a rubber seal too.

 

Get seals suitable for your refrigerant, refill and include dye.

there is also a very thin teflon ring at the compressor where the adapter goes on ( so where you see the white plastic cap ). same as from mercedes 230SL, 250 Sl and 280 SL, also 250 SE and 280 SE
