Extensive article with road test and design analysis in the new R&T, great photos of the car. Also article in the new Car & Driver where they ran the test car into a wall.

More than a few cars have suffered at the hands of journalists. Two Carrera GT models were damaged at the press intro. Three of the 997 GT3 models were damaged while journalists probed their handling limits at the expense of the car. Any more lurid 'press intro' stories we have yet to hear about?

Yes, received my R&T yesterday. Here's what I think. The 599 is an absolutely stunning auto! I think it looks even better than the 550/575 from what I can see. It is a more complex shape and a bit more "exotic" which is good! I don't understand why it isn't loved by most. Only thing I'd change is to put regular gauges in the dash and loose that integrated computer screen from behind the steering wheel. There's lots to like about the 599, take a hard look at all the lines and details - magnificant!

The 599 is LOVED by MOST!! Don't let a few naysayers on this blog lead you to think otherwise.
Speak to any Ferrari dealer, and they will confirm that no car has ever had this level of demand. Besides, if Gordon Murray, not a traditional lover of Ferraris, can gush about the styling, see afotementioned R&T article, that is certainly good enough. Additionally, its good that not everyone likes it. Its very essence creates buzz, which is exactly what Ferrari and Pininfarina want.

I always seem to get R&T and C&D later than anybody else in the mail. Although MT did a nice article on the 599...
