Is it still possible to order a new F8? I'm reading mixed things across the web. Local dealer rep said their allocations are spoken for and I could order a 296 GTB...wondering if there's any chance of ordering one before it's discontinued?
I can only speak to information passed to me thru dealers in my area…..orders are no long being taken. Your only option is to buy used at a premium price.
Here in the US it’s been closed about 2 months now. Confirmed with my dealer today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here is a perfect thread for you. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/f8-orders-officially-closed-off.650016/
Thanks guys. Fingers crossed they bring back the V8. They wouldn't even need turbos if it's a hybrid...if Chevy can crank out 670hp out of a flat plane V8, I'm sure Ferrari can with ease and slap a hybrid system on that, we're right inbetween a 296 and SF90 power wise, and have the pure sound of an NA Ferrari V8 again.
The Ferrari sound we all knew and loved is dead...gone. 458 was IT sound wise...488 with vacuum line unplugged from vales sounds pretty good. The Ferrari sound died off with the F8. For some and seems like most F8 owners sound is not a high priority anymore. I am talking in stock form basically. Yes a F8 can sound a little louder really really good like a Ferrari can but at the cost of not having a warranty on the car any longer. Some will take that chance.
The next V8 will be the SF90 successor. The non-hybrid is dkne and gone. The order books closed on October 18th. Now does that mean you could not get to spec an F8? Actually not. What you do need to find is a dealer with an order that has already been taken, but not finalized. Best thing to do is to start calling dealers. Now, Ferrari could easilly make a 670 hp n/a v8, but it would be an emission issue in Europe. The only reason why GM can get away with it, is because they sell next to no cars in Europe. That's why they fly under the emissions radar with the Z06. But they cannot do that once the ZR1 debuts. That will be a twin turbo car as it would be hard for them to stay emission compliant with a 750+ hp n/a or supercharged car. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
A man can dream. An N/A V8 with hybrid system would be the perfect send off for the Ferrari V8. Best of both worlds...can probably achieve 800hp total with AWD (600 rear / 200 front hybrid).
Due to EU regulations those days are gone. Too many strict standards now. Unfortunately hybrids and ev are the future.
100% get the f8 while u can before prices really get crazy when buyers want a full gas ferrari and with 8 cyl
