Hello, I would like some feedback from this group please. I have a 22 F8 allocated but can still make some changes. I would be interested in opinions on the options that I have selected (or may have missed). My initial thought was to go with the stock sound system. This will be my first Ferrari and I think that I will want to hear the car while I'm driving it. So far I have added about $60k in options that I feel are important; Daytona Racing Seats with lifter, front end lifter, AFS system, Carbon Fiber Driving Zone + LEDs. Horse stitched in headrest, Alcantara seats inner trim, CF Headlight Buckets, CF Side air splitter, Yellow Brake Calipers, Shields, colored inner details & stitching, mats with logo, passenger display, parking sensors, Electrochromic rearview mirror, Yellow Rev Counter, Thinking of going with the standard wheels and adding a second set of wheels/ tires. I love the Pista Wheels and will probably go that route. I do not use the surround view on my DD, a BMW M6 Grand Coupe so was not planning on adding that. If you have this in yours, would you order it for $6k? Leather Lower Dashboard? Does anyone have a close up photo of the headlight buckets with CF? Now that I have an actual allocation, I have spent a lot of time reading the threads on this chat and have been able to learn a lot from you guys. I would really appreciate your time and look forward to your replies. Thank you, Dave Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
As for the radio, get the premium upgrade - sounds better and will help with resale. If it was a 458 I would say skip it . I owned both - stereo will come in handy with F8. Fantastic car - not fantastic sound. Front lift is a must along with driver zone CF - rest of CF does not get a return on resale (IMO).
Leather Lower Dashboard? is for another colour What colour exterior and interior ? Leather or alcantara interior ? Either way get Leather roof as the OEM is cheap crap. ULEZ. Cant believe the 10's of 1000's spent on extras yet nearly everyone misses the cheap stuff Ferrari uses. Its more at home on an 80's Toyota. Up to you but would go also Leather rear shelf . SHF1 . IMO looks better with leather than carpet.
Drop the CF headlight buckets. Personally I focus on interior design since that’s where you can enjoy it all the time.

ULEZ and SHF1 are about $4k together, makes sense. Thank you Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I would think long and hard about the yellow calipers. Heads up 3 points of yellow. The sheilds , the calipers and the centre caps. All 3 yellows are a different shade This is really a personal choice as there are those that say yellow calipers on a red car looks a bit too McDonalds. You dont have to worry about Leather Lower Dashboard because you have a black interior and not changing the colour.
I have Zero CF on my 488 GTB , personal choice as cosmetic CF does nothing for me. Affect resale yes and no . But IMO it is all CF interior or none. To have a mix just doesn't look right. Same for the exterior all or none
Don't think you need the lifter in the racing seats. I agree on the premium stereo and the leather headliner. Id skip the rear shelf as I never look back there? I'd also add the Carbon door sill. Its always amazed me how many people load up on CF interiors and mis that one, especially since the silver one is the only silver in the whole car.....
The rear shelf is on the fire wall. Top is leather and bottom is carpet. IMO full leather wall looks better especially if you also tick the dedication plate.
I have skipped the passenger display as rarely have a passenger in the car, and also skipped the Premium Hi-Fi as would plan to do an aftermarket upgrade if it's that bad. Premium Hi-fi supposed to be better than before but still not great from what I read on these forums.
Lot’s of opinions on options! Personally don’t have the racing seat lifter or front end lifter and haven’t needed either. You can buy the Hill engineering kit and raise either or both seats if you desire… https://www.hillengineering.co.uk/interior-parts/seat-related/seat-spacer Mats are a rip off too, don’t cover the foot area at the wall, and much better- cheaper aftermarket options available. Also have the HiFi, was worth it to me… Love CF, but really adds up quickly- personal choice!
Always easy to spend other peoples money Dave, but CF centre bridge, because you look at it a lot, plus CF kick sills to unify the CF touches, inside and out..... plus there are no other aluminium parts, so they kinda stand out. If you don't go for the marginally better hi-fi upgrade, just be prepared for a system so poor, that even BT calls are a challenge, while on the move. Passenger display is a gimmick, what passenger would want to touch it, for sure nobody I would take out. Leather roof is a low cost option and great bang for buck. I would also consider lower-dash in black alcantara, maybe door inserts, as it would work well with your seat combination and give a real track look/feel. As for racing seat lifter, you may never need it, but many 2nd owners would not even consider a car without, same for suspension lifter, regardless of use. Good luck!
Yeah I agree on doing the central bridge if you are doing the Cf look. The front end lift is a good idea for resale even if you don’t need it but honestly I’ve had race seats in my last 4 Ferraris and didn’t even know racing seat lifters were a thing until recently and have never had any issue in resale. The only time you would need them is if you have multiple drivers or maybe you are still growing. Otherwise the dealer can set them for you and be done.
Be sure to verify if you have the COLL option selected or not and make the choice based on your likings..
1. Get as much Carbon Fiber as you can afford but put it where it gets you the most bang for your money. Interior is great. The splitters are also good spots. 2. Get yellow calipers the contrast is not as stark as mentioned before. They look great 3. Get premium sound system. Worth the price 4. Front end lifter is a must get. I use it quite often. 5. Central bridge CF is a nice add 6. Passenger display is not a great expenditure unless money is no limiter. Get more CF instead.
No one has commented on the surround view yet. While I have it on both my Mercedes and my Maserati I opted to remove it on my F8. You may find a couple threads discussing how the camera on the side view mirrors stick out and are oversized. Ugly IMO. The front end lifter is critical for someone like me, if I were looking to purchase your vehicle, as my driveway apron is steep between the sidewalk and the street. My GT scratches almost every time unless I enter very slowly at a severe angle. I would recommend the front end lifter. Do you have pictures of the exterior from the configurator?
I would a say the suspension lifter, CF bridge, and premium sound are recommended. The standard stereo is terrible. The premium system isn't great, but much better than the standard system.
My interior is Nero with red contrast stitching, and I went with the wheel/driver zone and upper dash/air vents for interior CF. Did not get the door handles or bridge. My thinking is this way, all the dash is in CF, plus that area is most in forward line of sight. Door handles and bridge are to the side and lower, so didn’t mind having them be a bit brighter for contrast given the otherwise dark lower interior. So a different view than others on the CF. I did go with the surround view, after debating the look of the mirrors. It’s not as noticeable as I would have thought (Grigio titanio exterior). Rearward visibility isn’t great so for me it was nice to have the extra visibility at times, granted the display is small so none of the camera views are that detailed. Also got the blind spot monitors. Not the full ADAS to avoid the front bumper sensor. Didn’t get the premium hi fi, regular sounds fine to me but I’m no audiophile so probably would be hard pressed to tell the difference. Front lift and leather ceiling/headliner for sure. The standard headliner isn’t quite that bad, looks similar to what’s in my BMW 5-Series. Leather is definitely nicer, especially for the price.
Thank you for your reply! Definitely going with the premium sound. CF vs Passenger Display? Let the debate begin. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I thought about the wheel choice over and over. Having the Pista to look at, I fell in love with these rims. So instead of spending $8.5k on ok wheels, I decided to stay with the standard and purchase the Pista rims for $11k so if theory, $2.5k over the upgraded rims. The stereo upgrade is worth it but not what it should be. Better than stock. Leather headliner and back panel are worthwhile options. I passed on the surround view option. No exterior CF but have the normal amounts in the interior. Finally delivered after the wheel change. It's a fantastic car and comparing it with the Pista, very close in acceleration but quieter and more comfortable without the worry about mileage. Thank you for your reply. Pista wheels are a very nice touch! I'm researching the pros and cons of a staggered 20" front and 21" rear wheel setup. I just went to 10G so probably 4/5 months out?? I would not mind a July delivery or later as I believe a delivery in July or later will become a 23 model year. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
