F8 F8 Italian flag above Ferrari badge on rear glass.

When I received mine from Ricambi,they said gap is 6 mm.

 

Wait. what?? The factory fitted your emblem upside down, or your dealer did it? Dear God, tell me it wasn't wrong from the factory. That would be the pinnacle of careless assembly.

 

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that it would look better with a little more distance than just the width of the badge. I’ve received my badge just not my car…yet.

I don't remember where I got my flag emblem from, but it ruined very quickly (~1.5 yrs). The colors look faded, the red and green look like they have embedded water spots, and the white part turned a little yellow. The same thing also happened to another friend in my car club (I don't know where he purchased it from either). Did this happen to anybody else? I want to replace it, but don't want to buy another defective one.
I uploaded 2 photos. The darker one shows the "yellowed" white section, how it looks in the sun. On the second photo, I used a flash, it automatically whitened the white part, but the stains on the red and green show up better.

 

It might be parallax, but the right side looks like it has a larger gap than the left side!

Nice job. Looks great. It really adds nice color to the car. I love the one that I installed on my 458 Spider.

 

Will these fit Pista? It only says 458 - I presume they are the same but just want to confirm if anyone knows..

 

Looks like you put it over PPF?

 

I had the exact same thing happen with mine. The first one just straight away fell out, Ricambi replaced it without fuss. A second time it came out when i was using the power washer at least 2 feet away, the water is basically air at that point but i got it at the exact right angle i suppose. When washing the car now i put a little piece of painters tape over it and havent had any issues since

 

Has anyone put a badge on over PPF? I really have misgivings about doing that.

 

I did on this one and my last. Why the hesitation?

Ok sounds good. I worried that if it pulled off would it screw up the PPF somehow. If you did it and feel good about it that’s enough for me. How did you measure it?
