New F8 and need to upgrade wheels and a more aggressive exhaust (not cats). Was thinking of Novitec, but looking for options. I live in Upstate NY, so need to a recommended sales and installation in NY or NJ. Thx

Oh boy, here we go… another pending F8 with a zillion ECU problems, errors, electrical disasters, warranty voiding, mechanical failures and cosmetic mistakes…. Sigh.

It just doesn’t work on F8’s yet— many of us are waiting for something/someone to create, fabricate and produce a proper solution for exhaust on F8.

HD Tuning in Cali. It now has pure turbos and made 820whp on 91. Highly recommend them.

If you tune with someone who knows what they’re doing you won’t have issues. Flash back to stock before going to the dealer if you’re that worried.

Voodoo is louder, Ryft is noticeably quieter but drones less. Both are great.

How bad is the drone on the Voodoo? Through a specific range?

I have aftermarket Strasse wheels and tires sitting in my garage from my old F8. Was planning on selling them eventually. They’re available if you want them.

Nor was mine. My dealer didn't care about my exhaust and coil-overs.

I've had modified cars before, and unless it's an ECU tune, the dealer doesn't care. They don't seem to even care about an ECU tune either (from my experience, even some sales and tech guys have them). Still, there's no way around not reporting that since the ECU data has to be reported to most manufacturers to get big warranty work claims such as engine, transmission, etc.

For BMW, for example, on my G82 M4, the max boost pressure was automatically uploaded to BMWHQ when pulled, so they could verify it against normal data. If it was out of range, they would investigate further data from there and then void the warranty. There are plenty of logs the car keeps get you in trouble if you have ever done an ECU tune.

The dealer gets paid to do warranty work, so they don't want to "report" you, void your powertrain warranty (which realistically is a headache because of Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act), which would then make you more inclined to take it to an independent to do the work.

Of course, you should maintain a healthy relationship with your dealer, but having an exhaust "mod" is nothing to be dial 911 about. Just my two cents here. The car sounds so much better with an aftermarket exhaust.

All that above IS correct...warranty void if you touch ECU (manufacturers very strict now, especially Ferrari. They want ECU data on each car for ANY warranty claim) So are some of you saying you've found and exhaust change that does NOT require any ECU modification, update, adjustment, reprogramming?? hmmmm

Correct. They don't require ECU tuning. Amazing, huh?

really? I've been reading and reading and was under the impression there still wasn't a set up by any company that could do it without GPF and ECU issues... this is good news.

Todd, i know easily 10 guys with F8's with straight pipes and tunes. they dropped the car off at a shop, and went back a few days later and picked up their cars and ALL of them are driving around worry free with no CEL and zero issues. your theory just isn't coming to fruition in the real world. also, not everyone worries like you. many people just do what they feel like doing and deal with it as it comes. but you can enjoy your F8 the way you like it, no reason needed.
