the 2020 f8 on bat right now is just amazing and stunning
So I think this is interesting. Maybe some of the rest of you will. There have now been six F8s on BAT. Three sold and three did not meet reserve. I looked at ratio of sold or bid to prices relative to original sticker price. The ratios on the sold cars were 0.95, 1.23 and 1.11. An average of 1.08. The ratios on the bid to cars (that didn't meet the reserve) were 1.07, 1.24 and 0.94. An average of 1.1. So this gives an idea of where values are -- people are willing to pay on average about 1.08 to 1.1 times original sticker. Of course there are other factors but this does help give an idea of what it's reasonable to pay for an F8 and where you need to price one if you want it to actually sell.
Nope this is just the posted sale/bid price and the sticker price. At this level the fees aren't going to move the needle a lot but you're right that the true cost includes things like fees, PPI, freight etc.
Also worth noting that the two cars with the highest ratios -- 1.24 and 1.23 -- were 2021 and 2022 cars respectively. All others were 2020. The 2022 car with the 1.23 multiple is the one that actually sold. The 2022 Spider that's on BAT right now had a sticker of $363,000. With the 1.23 multiplier that means a fair price for this car at this time is $446,490. However it seems likely that as these cars get a couple years older the ratios will fall to the 2020 levels. So you probably won't get your $446,490 back out of the car.
I too have been closely following the pre-owned F8 market and can make some observations. Obviously there are many moving pieces, but I like the way you use ratios above. I think 10% over, all things considered, is kind of like FV right now. So all else being equal, if MSRP is 350k, I'm offering 385k, and that should put me in the ballpark if the seller wants to sell, Obviously the asks are all over the place, so for some that may put me right in the ballpark, while for others that might not get me a return call. Two pieces of information I find interesting - 1. Since these cars are still so new, there are so few higher mile cars being offered, I'm happy buying a car with 7500 miles, but 80% of what's offered has under 1500. So I'm somewhat forced to pay up for something that doesn't matter too much to me. Cars with more miles are being offered lower (370k range), but there are so few available. 2. It makes a huge difference on what you are looking for. If I want red/tan, I have many many options that will likely work, and for which I can negotiate appropriately for. If I want a more unique color, interior, racing seats, etc., my hands are somewhat tied. My plan is to wait until I see what I'm looking for and then be aggressive. Hopefully when I find it, it has enough miles on it that it's not being offered for 450k in today's market. Brian
I bought new 488 Spider and sold it for a new 2021 F8 Spider. Not only better looking, imo, but faster and quicker shifts. And to all the experts on the value question--you'll find out what your car is really worth when someone writes you a check for it.
being f8 is the last all gas v8 model.it will hold value well, ferrari did an amazing job overall find the one you love and take it home
How did that car get the gold rake racing seats? Those were my favorite design but I was told not available for the f8 (at least when I specked mine in October 2022.
Atelier or special request. Adamas had them also. Seat central pattern variation 3800? There are a lot of options that are request. If you ask nicely. It sometimes depends on who asks which dealer or who they ask. Image Unavailable, Please Login I’m basically cloning my 296 GTS atelier build options on my GTB without an appointment. The verbiage is factory to add code XXXX. A lot is possible. The again it wouldn’t be Ferrari without one customer saying WTF I asked for that and they said no it cannot be ordered and there it is ..
