I owned a 675LT Spider for a while and I disagree. I actually like the way my regular F430 drives better!

The 720s is blisteringly fast, but didn't give much feedback. I found I had to drive it way too fast to have any fun with it, to the point where when I got done I felt like I'd gotten away with something more than that I'd had a lot of fun driving it. I felt some of the same feeling when I drove the F8. I would say the F8 would be a pretty close comparison to the 720s.

Renting exotics in Miami isn't going to provide much information since they don't have anything that resembles a drivers road in the area unless you really really search hard. Last time I rented an exotic down there I realized it was almost entirely pointless, didn't get anything meaningful from a feedback standpoint.

Yeah it’s not ideal but it’s a city I always need to rent a car in so I use it as an excuse to rent cars I haven’t driven before. I can get a feel. I’m either up incredibly early or out very late when the roads are fairly open. Lot of straightaways and not much cornering but its enough for me to get a solid feel.

A lot changed between the 675LT and the 720S, I'm not sure that driving a 720S will give you a good impression of what the 675LT is like.

Will still be a lot of fun though!

The 16m is 2 secs slower than the Scud around Fiorano as tested by Ferrari.

Scud being 2 seconds faster than a F50 around Fiorano is a crazy fact I didn't know.
Although that probably comes down to a decade of tire advancements.

yeah I just want to spend some time in a McLaren everyone seems to love. Couldn’t find a 765 LT. let’s see how the 720 goes.

pulled the trigger on a 430 Scud today. Real excited

Nope read it back, Its saying most normal drivers won't tell the difference. A Ferrari test driver might!

Even more interesting is the F430 and the F430 Spider are the same!

I question these figures: the F430 and F430 Spider post the same time, but there's a big difference between the Scud and 16M.

In both cases the only difference is weight.

The Speciale and Speciale A post the same, but we know the 458 Spider chassis is relatively floppy.

    It doesn't make sense.

A man posts figures, it must be right.

Nothing to do with driver, tyres, temperature, wind, moisture etc!!

Having said that, just goes to show you just how good the F430 spider actually is!

Also just looked at the Nürburgring figures, they maybe wrong as well, but both Scuderia and 16m have the exact same time of 7 minutes 39 seconds.

Fiorano times are official times posted by Ferrari as only they have access to the track. Track times elsewhere are pulled from random reports.

Got a problem with Fiorano track test times? Take it up with Ferrari.

There was a track change in 1996 that should be factored as well.
