How does the forum feel about current F8 pricing and how it will react once the 296 begins to hit the street? I know supply/demand is driving the price levels up as there are barely any F8 for sale, but I am finding it very hard to digest a price close to $500k for a 2021 Tributo. Is the F8 positioned to take a huge nosedive in the next 2-3 years to $300k levels?
I have a '15 458 and an early order in on a 296 (sub $400k build hopefully) and was entertaining the idea of adding another to the collection while I await the 296. Considering a Pista or F8, but my opinion is that while the Pista pricing is slightly too high at $590k, the F8 pricing is way out of hand.

I know no one has a crystal ball, only opinions. I would appreciate opinions from the forum.

When you consider that Ferrari is exiting the car business as we have known it(relying solely on their engine design acumen) and entering the appliance business, it seems all recent non-hybrid Ferrari's will continue to have a solid price basis as demand is not diminishing and will likely increase in the years ahead because there will be no more such cars to exist, likely, ever again. Remembering that Elkann, the true decision maker for Ferrari, not the CEO, has bought in to full ev as Ferrari's future.

Further, the "appliance cars" (SF90,296, and others to come in the future, that is no more non-hybrid/non-ev), are on a parallel price track that does not seem to have any influence on prior cars. For example, the SF90 pricing remains strong in the pre-owned market, but has not in any apparent way, reduced Pista pricing, the car it arguably most closely resembles in the recent history. Even the 812, the car the SF90 specifically replaced as being the "top model" is experiencing solid pricing.

All that said, I see no reason F8 pricing will take any sort of nose dive ever. There is no replacement model nor will there ever be, hence the name F8 Tributo.

In the current tumultuous economic and geopolitical environment, the price will likely move commensurately with the overall supercar market. Otherwise, being the last non-hybrid V8, priced well below the SF90 and about the same as the 296 (options dependent), expect current prices to hold for at least the next two years with a modest drop thereafter..

The values subject is discussed incessantly on Rennlist as many I believe are desiring these cars at a level beyond their means.
That’s a trap for anxiety, speculation and perhaps remorse.

Another thought on the F8, orders were closed about 6 months ago and there were many left without an order (but wanted to order), that may well ensure demand for the F8 remains strong for a long time.

I could care less what the value of my F8 will be. As the last non hybrid V8 and an incredible car I will not be selling it.

Has your 458 taken a nose dive?? Yours is 7 years old and the answer is no!! Why would you expect the F8 to take a nose dive? Pricing for all super cars will probably decline but I don’t see them nosediving.

compared to lambo ,mclaren f8 is the winner imo ,last of the all gas v8 ferrari ,i think f8 will hold its value.its an amazing machine in every aspect hard to replace the car say at 425k with something better

No my 458 has not taken a nosedive, but my 458 was a $ 275k msrp, it never became desirable at $ 375k or $ 400k (it might in 10 years). So an F8 with a $ 360k msrp selling at or around $ 460k seems like larger departure from msrp.

I mean I love u and all but for 300 a 720s is at least the equal of the tribute performance wise… and u still have 125k left for a brand new s class…
Not knocking at all the tributo but I believe your statement is not accurate;)

I can see the F8's coming down to MSRP very quickly in the face of a worsening economy. While I love the car, I don't see them maintaining this super premium in the long-term. Who knows.

The generally positive reviews of the 296 will play some role in this potentially.

Yeah but u are missing ur own point: value for money…150k difference , unless u enjoy losing money, I’d keep that 150 and invest in rental properties;)

You can fine higher mileage Pistas for between 470k & 520k. Between 9 to 12 thousand miles.

The price differences between my 458 S and F8
S are massive as are the ones between my 812 and an 812 GTS. Hard to believe there will be drop offs on the lower priced cars; there’s no good alternatives.

i can only imagine the response to this one, but since someone threw out the 720s for value. Considering my 458 and eventual 296, does a '22 Evo at $330k make some sense over adding the F8 at over $100k more???
