That's interesting, thought it would be a bit more in EU. Will try to buy one actually (as we here in EU don't have to play the silly games as in other continents, not sure if that applies to the F8 though as it does for the Pista in US), will see what they end up in final prize here i Sweden as soon as the dealers get their first demo cars. Not sure I want to spec my own, don't feel confident enough for that (I have a hard time choosing when too many options offered) and hearing the waiting time is a kill when speccing your from scratch....
It looks stunning, will not trade it in for the 458 rather have it as a compliment in my garage as the fast F-car along the slower but more "screamy" f-car.
Loved how the 488 drove and can't imagine this one being anything less than stunning in every way, specially the engine which don't feel turbo-charged at all which is really amazing, coming from Porsche TT cars which really was not my cup of tea :)

Guys "the particulate filter was a joke." If that was not its intent, it should be.

Clearly none to begin with however, the ppf will be a source of problem if it chokes up and restricts the exhaust flow in any way. That situation will be generally determined by usage and the way the car is driven.

As with the diesel particulate filter (DPF) where engine power and efficiency reduces when it blocks up, the same will apply to the PPF in situations where the car is driven for short periods of running beneath the threshold where a "burn" can take place. A burn is referred to as a period of running the engine continuously above a particular rpm for a set period of time long enough for the PPF to reach a temperature high enough to "burn" away the build up of soot inside the PPF. Unfortunately with all of these additional pollution devices already on the engine, it begins its journey of choking itself slowly to death from the first time it is started. The ppf just adds to that unfortunate equation.

The look on the dara sheets indicates a slightly shorter 0...200 [km/h] value in favor of the Pista (7.6 <-> 7.8).
This sounds reasonable as the Pista is 50kg lighter. Suspension and steering shall be more track oriented, so as it will also show better performance in race conditions. However, since the tires nowadays are more importantthan the sheer power, all the theoretical advantages of the Pista against the F8 may disappear. Not to talk about the driver‘s abilities.;)
As for a daily driver, the F8 perhaps is the more suitable, cause more comfortable car anyhow. Nonetheless the figures still are - breathtaking!

Where are you getting your numbers from, F8 for $210K? The 488 GTB started at just under $250K.

Keep in mind those super low Pista weight numbers are based on the CF wheels, which the F8 won't get, and neither will the Pista buyers within us.

Yes. The F8 needs a full page of weightsaving options (mainly CF) to reach the claimed dry weight of 1330kg however.
Adding around 30k€ to the bottom line...:(

It'll be priced within a few percentage points of the 488 GTB, with the standard annual price increase.

According to a post on the F8 thread a dealer indicated the US base price will be a little less than $300k.

Seems a likely ballpark, I understand the US price of the 488 was not a euros price without VAT converted to dollars, it was more than that and I don't see any reason for the F8 to not follow suit - what could be similar is the price increase between 488 and F8 (around 5%).

My dealer told me that he doest have any 458 Italia, Spider or Speciale. 488 many.
He also told me that two years ago he sold an Italia with 10.000km for 150k. Last week the customer sold them the car (that the dealer already sold for a profit) with 35.000km for 149k.
He said he doesnt know what is going on and it doesnt make sense but here we are...
