King was killed by 911 Turbo S before F8. However, not certain about it. This guy has always an early start and the opposing driver is always late.

720 is still king if you compare its best time to the F8's best time. As they stated it couldn't hook up which was the difference. TTS is better to 60 but likely not in the 1/4 mile. Traction is everything in a drag race, there's no chance to make up time in such a short run.

For street driving I’d rather have the car that was slightly slower above 130 mph but could hook up better below 50 mph and has the better throttle response.

F8 traction control is better than 720....but the stock 720 Pirelli tires are older and heat cycled and harder than the new Pirelli on this new f8.

Track prep and weather ( hot humid and rain) wasn’t good. The 720 stock on stock tires puts down 9.9 sec in 1/4 mile all over the world...in dry weather and that’s been proven. A few different f8 have at best done 10.3 sec 1/4.

Prefect weather, stickier rear tires and great track prep the f8 will do a 10 flat...but then the 720 will do 9.7

Im surprised Ferrari didn’t easily tune the 710hp engine up to 750-775hp. This would be easy to do and maintain reliability as tuners have proven

One thing for certain, it’s a drivers race. Better times for both cars with stickier tires.

This is where the 992tts would consistently own the lot of them.

If I could fit golf clubs in the TTS I would get one for a daily. For now the F12 or 812 works best for me.

Where do you put the clubs in an 812? Trunk? I take my 720 and Pista to the golf course but I’m only riding by myself with the clubs riding shotgun

In the F12 I can fit 2 sets in the hatch and a couple duffle bags without issue. I often play with my son and its fun to take a sports car as opposed to an SUV or pickup.

Nice. Well this just means that I’m gonna have to look at one when the new house is done. Totally agree on taking a sports car to the course.

When I had my last 996 turbo Porsche I would put the rear seats down and put my clubs on top fit fine.

Yes it will work but nearly as convenient. Putting them in and pulling them out is a bit cumbersome in the back of the Porsche. I have to tell you though the new TTS is quite tempting.

Wouldn’t the lighter Pista beat the F8 if

  19. Then all the Pista owners would really have something cry about because if the F8 was tuned to 750 it would definitely be objectively superior to the Pista.

  20. No, the Pista has more aerodynamic drag due to the greater downforce.

which shouldn’t mean anything in the quarter mile. In the half mile perhaps. A Pista should trap higher and run the 1/4 quicker than the F8. The difference wouldn’t be crazy though.

I don't think the Turbo S is being falsely advertised.

The Pista traps a good bit higher than the F8. We've seen a Pista trap 143mph in the 1/4 already. That's enough for high 9's with R888's like they are putting on the 720S's....

I think F8s will be trapping the same as Pistas in similar conditions. I don’t see Pistas being quicker at all. Time will tell.
