Is there any new information from the environment of the plant about a successor F8 (Pista)?
If you do a quick search you will find tons of topics on this subject. The consensus is the 296 is the f8 replacement. The f8 tributo was a tribute to the v8. They are moving to hybrid as are most brands.
I was asking about how people feel about going from the v8 and moving to the v6. I can tell you are getting agitated with me, so I will leave it alone and do a search. Thanks
He isn't agitated at all. Was just answering your question. The fact is most do not like going from V8 to V6 but its the reality of today and the increased horsepower with the hybrid engine is helping to take the sting out of the transition. Lots of info here: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/forums/296.324/
No worries at all. There is lots of info out there and lots of varying opinions on every different type of subject. You can even find some interesting topics regarding buying a former Hall of Famer‘s house (old thread that still makes be chuckle). Welcome to the forum. So back to your question, no one knows what Ferrari is going to do but all indications are that the F8 was the last of the V-8 and it will be hybrids from here on out. As for how people feel about the move, there are those that are very upset and not buying into the hybrids and others that welcomed the increase horsepower. Lots of opinions in the 296 section that SoCal pointed out
I forgot to add my .02 on the move. I think that people are always resistant to change. Past history in the automotive field has been met with very strong opinions. When they moved from in NA to turbo people were crazed. In the Porsche world people were crazed with air cooled v. Water cooled. I’m of the opinion that advances in technology are always an improvement and will make for better cars. However I still believe that they need to get the weight down on hybrids but it is very apparent that EV and hybrids are the future. I was one that resisted the move from manual transmissions to automatic but now looking back the technology is so much better. I also don’t have to practice heel to toe anymore. Lol.
