    Re: alternater heat shield......If one were to take two light gauge alloy plates and shape/bend to fit around the alternater.....then put motorcycle muffler (blanket )packing between the two plates and rivet together......you could make a very effective heat shield for next to nothing and cover all the exposed areas of the alternater. The alloy plates are available at your auto parts stores and the muffler packing is available on Ebay.......should'nt cost more than $20.00 max.
    If your very creative and can weld you could take it further and make a very trick piece out of light gauge galvanized steel.

    Once you get it on the Dyno I would really be interested in seeing how the 2.7 Motronic reacts to the flow changes. Can you please have the Dyno guys put a wide band lambda pre cat so we can see if this is going to need remapping. It may relearn the addaptives to compensate or this may make flow improvements that are to large for the stock ECU to compensate for.
    Nice attention to detail regardless of whether this fits your personal taste I can respect the effort and thought put into this project.
