FabSpeed headers, Capristo Brkts?

Having FabSpeed headers delivered today. Has anyone also installed the Capristo brackets with FabSpeed headers? Would it be good insurance to replace the brackets or is the factory spring bracket sufficient with the new headers?

 

i have installed both. It was worthwhile while I was at it.

I don't have first hand experience with both brackets but I think that the Fabspeed bracket is sufficient.

Thanks John, just looking for a simple answer if someone thinks that adding the Capristo brkts are necessary if you replace headers with aftermarket.

 

Don't do it! Read the prior threads on the capristo bracket. Keep the stock bracket or use something else, but not capristo bracket. I am not familiar with a bracket from Fabspeed so I have no idea what it looks like or its pros and cons.

 

Thanks Dan, I've been reading the threads for months and it seems pretty evenly split on yes or no on the brackets.
Fabspeeds headers do not come with brackets and they were indifferent to using the Capristo brackets but did not think they were necessary.
Just looking for final input before installing the headers.
