That is what my 355 has on it and its down right quiet. I was nervous about it being to loud or perhaps the low drone on the HWY, however its quiet. I was very surprised all my other Ferrari's have been much louder with the exception of the TR's, my 550 with a Tubi was MUCH louder. I go through the same tunnel with my 360 CS and get on it and it's amazing, same stretch with my 355 - nothing really? In a garage if I rev it up it is loud :)

I'm not going to get another exhaust as I like the DD nature of the car and how its comfortable on the ears, however I was wondering if anyone else had that setup and had the same experience?

    Thanks

I am surprised that it isn't louder too. Although, I am not very familiar with the challenge muffler... what is different between it and the stock muffler?

That setup has to be loud. Too loud infact. Maybe your hearing is toast.:)
On the other had, arnt the fabspeeds 4 into 1 and not stepped down like they are supposed to be 4 into 2 into 1. If they are 4 into 1 then the sound could very well be somehwhat restricted.

You sure you have a Challenge exhaust? Because a challenge exhaust has NO muffler at all and is quite loud.

My set-up is similar. I have stock headers, hyperflows and the "low decibel" challenge muffler. Sound is fine to my ears. Not too loud, no mid-range drone.
Considerably louder than the stock muffler and cats at idle etc. Vastly improved sound when the bypass valve opens.

There are 2 different challenge muffler systems. The low decibel systems were used on tracks with noise limitations.

I literally just picked up my car. I had Fabspeed Headers, Fabspeed Sport Cats, and Capristo Level 3 installed. Just for the record, I was very skeptical about doing the work as I didn't think anything could sound as good or better than the factory sound that my 355 had. But the combination I went with is... incredibly- AMAZING!!!. It is extremely loud in a Formula 1 kinda of way. (Much more than stock- night and day, if you can believe it) My set-up is exactly the way it should have come from the factory. I could not get over how amazing it sounds.

BTW- I knew the person driving in front of me and they kept giving me the thumbs up sign and then called me to tell me how great it sounded. (keep in mind, he was in front). Behind the car....I cant wait to hear. I will post the before video and after video soon. Can't imagine your set-up being low sounding, unless that Challenge muffler is the lower noise one.

Sorry, just saw this for a while no one responded. I think I have the quiet version of the Challenge exhaust - I really like it however as it's just about perfect for me, not loud at all however sounds great when I'm getting on it, down shifting etc. Installing a challenge grill and then she will be perfect.

    Thanks,

    AK
