I purchased a 2007 Ferrari F430 Spider, the vehicle has about 14,000 miles and has the original MK1 headers. The car is in pristine condition with all records and I had the Ferrari dealership inspect it prior to delivery, all is in excellent condition. I got scared after I read so many threads about Headers cracking and that mine will eventually crack, so I acted proactively and ordered Fabspeed headers and Capristo mounts to be installed on May 11th by the Ferrari Dealership.

My question is to members who have the Fabspeed Headers, does this change the sound of the engine or car in general?

Anything that I should advise the dealership to take into account when installing both components?

    Thank You

The sound will definitely change. I assume you're still going to use the factory cats and exit pipes. It won't be as loud as mine was. I changed mine out with Fabspeed headers and their sports x-pipe and their exit pipes without valves. It was loud on initial start up but got quiet (relatively speaking) once warmed up. At highway speeds you could still carry on a normal conversation and listen to the stereo with no problems. At WOT it would scream just a like a proper Ferrari should.

Does changing from the original factory headers at all effect resale value negatively? I bought mine last year and it still has the stock headers. I would consider changing but has anyone seen this as a negative at all? Seems like it would be neutral and maybe even help the value?

I would store the factory headers so once it comes time to sell the car give them to new owner and let him decide to put it back or not.
