Bought these minicats from Fabspeed with the 90 degree fitting but I don’t need them. New, never used, never installed.

Paid $145 each plus shipping and tax. Will sell both for $225 total w/free shipping in the CONUS.

    Thank you,
    Joe

these work 100%. running them on my F355 5.2 using straight pipes.. the 5.2 is very fussy with exhaust related CEL..
not a single CEL using these..

Are these necessary with high flow cats also? I know they are on straights but not sure how the computer deals with aftermarket cats that cause occasional CEL's

They work with straight pipes, stock cats, and aftermarket cats that cause CEL’s. The removal of pre-cats in the manifolds or the stock cats themselves, or both could trip a CEL. There are other factors too, which is why some cars get CEL’s and some don’t with cat changes.

The CEL is caused by the O2 sensor reading out of range, ie low O2. The mini cat does for the sensor just what the cats do for the exhaust, converts CO to CO2, Nox to N and O2, and HC to Co2 and H2O.

If the sensor doesn’t read enough O2, it trips the CEL indicating the catalyst isn’t catalyzing well enough to generate the target O2 levels.

AM cats may still trip the CEL

    Never seen this before.

So you can delete the cats and this you use for the lambda?

Yes, the post cat O2 sensor screws into this minicat. There is reformer/catalyst in this mini-cat to satisfy the downstream O2 sensor.

there are couple brands/versions of these mini-cats, but I believe the fabspeeds are the best..

previously there were only o2 spacers, which were just hollow, they did not filter anything.. so still very good chance the 02 sensor would still trip..
people would stuff steel wool in the spacer, which ive seen work.. but still not 100%.

whereas with these mini-cats.. in the cylinder and even the square block section, there is actual cat cells, to scrub the exhaust gas as it passes through so that the o2 sensor reads correctly.

as mentioned the F355 5.2 ECU is very fussy with cat related modifications.. but im running straight pipes with these mini-cats connected to post o2 sensors and have not had a single CEL.

as mentioned above this can work for any car..replacing headers, cats etc..

How are they installed into the exhaust? I have a friend with a decatted 550 which has the slow down light on. I guess that comes from the thermocouple sensor and not the lambda sensor?

You remove the downstream o2 sensor (post cat) screw these mini cats in, and install the downstream o2 sensor into the mini-cat.
