I am bummed on this issue. I as well do not mind where it is made. And was looking to purchase these down the road for the fact it is made IN USA and the awesome results I hear about.. Now its in question, so i will reserve the right to hold on buying something that is over priced, due to labor costs and materials. I would not mind at all paying the buffered price, but if the ones made in america better be made here and priced more or same and the Taiwanese versions less. But I was set on this cause of the made in USA claim. When the parts, and the materials not even made here? That doesnt support our industrial movement in jobs for America at all, big mistake when America is pro industrial and business right now.. So what are the pictures about? them welding on tags? Kind of surprised no one asked about the pics posted. obviously some white guys welding. or albino Taiwanese people. I will accept assembled in america, but not made in. If you buy these, you arent supporting the USA. That is if you care about that sort of thing?
Yes to above.. but you have owned a few Benz's, a Nissan and a Jag. Nice cars but none "Made in America".....where is the USA support? I was expecting a Chevy Corvette, Ford F-150 and a Dodge Charger from your profile
True, but $10 overall isn't a huge cost. $2800 is a lot of money. BTW where did taz go please pm me. He's helped me out a lot I don't want to lose touch with him.
Lol. This thread is simply nuts. It sounds incredibly similar like a massive blow-up in the aftermarket BMW parts scene back in 2008. Numerous companies sold products such as OEM-replacement bumpers/headlights that cost quite a bit, being advertised as having much higher quality manufacturing standards than supposed "knockoffs" found on eBay and other lower-priced sellers. Then came along a company that went directly to the source overseas and basically slaughtered the competition by undercutting them by massive margins - for the EXACT same product, the difference being it was no longer rebranded and marked up. After the dust settled, the consumers ultimately won with having prices cut down across the board after the exposure... Seems like no matter what tier of the wallet you play with, the name of the aftermarket parts game remains the same!
Sorry to sidetrack this thread, but I asked a few times why Taz and Rifle have left, but nobody responded...is it that bad that nobody wants to respond?
Hi Mike, they are active on the other site. Taz is still posting in the aviation forum here too. There is a better signal to noise ratio in both of these locations. Take care! -Greg
Hilarious! Thank you for bringing some much needed levity, and interesting photos, to this thread. I have a Capristo exhaust, and I love both the build quality and sound. I have no experience with Fabspeed, but do not doubt that they make a fine product at a different price point.
Remember, Antonio clearly stated (in a previous post) that he was using Google Translator so this may not be exactly what he was trying to say.
ARE YOU CRAZY???? lol I don't speak english so I have used google interpreter for every post I have ever made.
oh, dont get it twisted lol. Both jags I have are ford era, owned a 69mach 1, a 70 camero, a gmc envoy, a ford explorer, an astro van haha. and trust me, they need all the support they can get.. all but the mach1 one and the envoy were sh%t
So what ever happened with this? I was searching on the net for 360 Ferrari headers. Found a Taiwan company that said they make Ferrari headers on thier site (no good info there though), so I e-mailed them to see if I could buy a set from them. I am looking for a set of 360 headers to try on my 355 (like gothspeeds setup) and don't care where they come from as long as they are reliable and well made (i.e. better than stock junk). After a couple e-mails guess which one of thier U.S.A. retailers they referred me to....they said they could not sell me just one unit etc. after I explained I have a retail license, but am not a distributor/wholesaler and so on. I don't have a problem buying a Taiwan made header, but please someone sell me one for an appropriate price. I will still even buy from the supplier mentioned in these threads, but I want it for a reasonable markup. Others are selling what may be the same header for half price and that is probobly still a huge markup. If anyone wants the e-mail, feel free to PM me. I am not posting it here as I may need someone to sell me one of their headers still if the price is right.
IPE Innotech Exhaust system based in Taiwan makes one of the best exhaust systems for Ferrari and Lamborghini. http://www.ipe-f1.com/ In my opinion, it is very well made in Taiwan By the way. Most of our mac computers, iphone, ipad, and various apple computer products are made in China (key components from Taiwan). Most people don't have any problem with that. Kudos to Fabspeed if they are able to outsource manufacturing to Taiwan to save cost. If you want quality manufacturing, Taiwan is more than capable of delivering high quality. If you insist on made in the USA for patriotic reasons, we are on a totally different topic.
Having these first hand I can vouch for their quality. However their header systems are definitely not on the same level as European offerings such as SuperSprint in regards to primary sizes, merge collectors and most importantly heat shielding.
