    Hi Everyone

Man I just installed the fabspeed test pipes on my 1998 355, for some reason they are not fitting properly, unless I am doing something wrong which is very likely. After installing everything I notice that the straight pipe that connects to the muffler is short by about half an inch. I have tubi exhaust on mine. I have attached a photo, you can see the silver test pipe is just short of attaching itself to the flange. Have any of you experienced this.

Have you compared the length of the straight pipes to the length of the converters?

You have to loosen your whole muffler even at the by/pass valve, and the four bolts on the muffler two on each side.top, then start all your adjustments from scratch.

Should I first line up the muffler with new test pipes then install the y pipe. I did that originally and then I needed to disconnect the muffet again because the y pipe would not fit. So then I decided to install the Y pipe first while the muffler bolts were off. then I installed the by pass valve while keeping all my bolts snug, then I went underneath the car to install pipes and it actually looks to be off about an inch. I used the old flange from the original cats on the test pipes. I titan them as tight as possible and the bolts are loose. I think it because they just don't go back far enough to catch any lip to make goof contact. Unless I am doing something wrong in my sequence. Honestly to be out an inch is pretty non fitting.

I am hoping I can call fabspeed tomorrow and get some installation tips. As long as I don't have a faulty pipe, i should get it to work

I have the similar issue on my 94 348. I have the Fabspeed headers, test pipes with my capristo. The overall length forces the tail pipes to sit about 1 inch low in regards to the opening on the bumper. My plan is to swap out to Hi Flows and see if I can shorten the overall length to correct the tail pipe height

I clearly understood from fabspeed that the 355 test pipe will fit Tubi Exhaust. I will need to call them today. I would be surprised if they sent me a part that does not fit my car.
