    I just ordered a Fabspeed X pipe for my 348 spider to replace a homemade resonator and exhaust pipes installed by a PO. The homemade affair doesn't fit right and bangs on the body. That said, I know that conventional wisdom is to remove the bumper. Is there a chance I could made this swap without the bumper coming off? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Yes the swap can be made without removing the bumper. Removing the bumper simply allows you ample work room vs limited work room with the bumper in place.

    I removed the huge two-can exhaust system and replaced it with a single from a Spider, all without removing the bumper. The Fabspeed X should be a lot easier.

    You need that bumper in place when you adjust those exhaust tips correctly in their reliefs. Single can muffler comes easily apart with bumper on
