I got my holiday Sears Craftsman Tool Catalog in the mail yesterday. Looking through it I found a page of tools branded S-K Facom. The pliers looks like the same ones included in the Ferrari Facom tool kits. I think I read somewhere that Ferrari has changed their tool supplier???

Yeah, IIRC, S-K bought them (Facom) a few years ago. They aren't bad tools. I still prefer Craftsman for work though.

You're right, I didn't know this either actually till a few days ago when I noticed at the owners' site they were selling tool sets and drawers made "by Beta, Official Scuderia Ferrari Supplier."

Facom owns SK and uses their Chicago facility to distribute Facom in this country. Facom also owns USAG and a few other tool companies in Europe. Here's a few pics of Facom tools at http://www.ultimategarage.com/toolsb.html . SD

Yeah, I thought it was something like that. Just a little fuzzy on who owns whom.

Back in the '60s, my dad sold S-K tools down in Puerto Rico. Back then they were excellent tools, better than Craftsman. Hopefully the quality is still the same.
