When I lived in Fort Lauderdale, I saw so many Ferrari's from Miami to Palm Beach you would think they were Toyota's. My guess is Shelton but the California dealers have to be next.

Penske/Wynn Las Vegas might have the largest floor space in the US.

Yeah, but that doesnt really tell much. We have the largest Porsche dealership in Europe here in DK, but were are no way near the top sales wise.

clarification between new vs. used car volume here? If used, could be anybody...new, on the other hand,
i'd be quite interested in knowing(separate from allocation, as new cars can be moved around some before actual sale, as mentioned above).

I'd be on FofSF. Their allocation is probably over 100 per year, and remember they are owned by the Factory, not North America, so I suspect they get a pretty good deal on their cars. I was told once that they sold more cars than any other dealership, but don't recall when that was the situation. Also told they were the most profitable.

When I worked back at Shelton and did the ads we always used "Nation's largest factory authorized dealer" in our ads. I know at the time it was based off of total sales volume but I don't know what it is now. I do remember they had the data to back it up legally and were never questioned. This goes all the way back to 1997 through 2000 so I'm sure it's most likely changed numerous times. Bud Root would have the answer.

Don't forget the California Smog Devices they stick on their cars. No other state has that.

I'd place my bet on Shelton. I heard that more Ferraris are sold in Ft. Lauderdale than anywhere else in the U.S. :)

Won't help, we got rid of the English 100+ years ago. These taxes are a local invention! You don't realise how "cheap" Ferrai's are in the USA compared to Australia, ( and many other places ) But it can still be worthwhile bringing in used cars from the UK or Japan (already RHD).

I think that depends on the state :D Qld is 20 years behind the rest of the world. You'll get annual smog checks in 2015.

Pardon the resurrection but when I went to my local dealer it blew my mind how many they had in stock so I was curious. They told me there were 38 dealers in the USA so I hunted them down (mostly -- list I found was a little old) and looked up their current inventories. Thought I'd share here. Surprised that my local guy is #3 on the list - while there are "4" CA dealerships on the list, that's really a 4-location conglomerate with a shared inventory.
