    Hello all,
Does any one know of a quality service that can refinish my 458 plenum to the same factory quality wrinkle paint.
    Preferably in western USA?
Thanks for all suggestions in advance.

If I recall a company called Prismatic makes a close powder coat. Dealers typically use paint though but I can't remember if that's a rule.

But overall I recommend thinking about it. The car is entitled to some patina and a well cared for original car is cooler than a fully restored car IMO.

All you need is a can of wrinkle paint and use of the oven for an hour. Make sure the wife is gone............I didn't do that, and when she came home she got a new oven in the house, and I got the old one in the garage.

If you really want factory level quality powder coating will not do it. It looks good and is durable but not the same. Its what I use but I sacrifice a great look for durability.

Rattle cans are not either and its not very durable.

Call Rex Nguyen in Southern California and have him do it. Hes reasonably close and his restorations have won a number of big awards.

Sorry but that is nowhere near the finish quality of the factory paint on 430 plenums.

They are very similar in color, the texture may be the only difference, though the 2762 seems slightly darker to me...

One of my absolute favorite parts of owning a ferrrari is that crinkle on the plenum, it’s such a beautiful touch and very rewarding to have on your engine

Until it comes off in sheets....when you strip it the first time, you see what a horrible cheap paint job it is. I repainted mine, then wasn't happy with it, I had used primer and stripped it again, it was much harder the second time when it was painted correctly. Ended up having it blasted and powder coated.
