    First of all, this is not a mistake. The mistake is below the first paragraph. I took delivery of my 2013 F458 coupe today. This is the first 2013 my dealer received. I speced the car end of August last year as a 2012 model. I was very surprised that it was a 2013 when my car went in production last month. It was not normal for the factory making next year model this early base on their experience. My dealer said it's good for the resale value, although I noticed that the 2013 base price went up approx. $3500, option prices remain the same.
    My car was scheduled to finish on 6/15/2012. Two weeks before the finish date, I asked my dealer if there is any special air freight program for my car. He called up FNA and they said my car is qualify for the air freight special for $6000 instead of $12000 original charge. I declined the offer cause I've heard some Fchatter had the special for $4000 which I would have taken. I've already waited for almost a year anyways. I would rather spend the $6000 for the clear armor plus something else. My dealer also said they have customers wanted the special, but their cars don't qualified. Some customers don't want to air freight, and their cars are qualified. Yesterday I received a call from my dealer that there is a good news for me. My car has mistakenly flew in to SFO, and they have already received the car and doing PDI on my car so I can take delivery today. Another good news is my dealer have sent a couple emails that I have declined the air freight special. It ends up the factory is paying for the air freight charges. I got so lucky that my car couldn't wait to see me and I think it was meant to be. There were another F458 but Spider was in the same flight, but for some reason his Spider is 2012.
    The car's performance and looks were way above my expectation. Below are a few pics I took at the dealer. Thanks for listening to my story.

    Wow what a deal! I wish I could have this luck.

    Enjoy the car!!! The racing seats look awesome and the CF rear magnificent.

    That's a really, really early 2013. I thought they would not have made any until July. That will save you a ton on resale.

    Benson, out of curiosity, when did you first place your order?

    I am trying to guess when I should be getting my car... The dealers lack of transparency during the wait process is not a positive.

    Wow! Congrats. Last year in August I took delivery..... Of a 2011 car, and in June this year you get the following year! Amazing. I agree this will save you some decent cash. Congrats

    That's a good mess up for sure. I thought this would be a thread bashing Ferrari for their incompetence or something silly like that.

    My dealer believed there is no changes on MY13, except for the base price.
