Anyone got any details on these?

My 355 has a misfire at idle and < 2000rpm, Ive replaced plugs today, cleaned the MAFs out, etc but the leads havent arrived yet, she runs a little better but not great.

However the leads that are on look incredibly old so I suspect they may be OEM ones, they are made by Beru?? Anyone have any clue?

If they are OEM then they've been on for 63k miles so could most probably do with retirement and pension lol

    Thanks

If they are the original plug wires, it is time to replace them. The plug wires in the F355 are exposed to very high temperatures due to their proximity to the exhaust headers. You can use the OEM wires or, as many people on the Board have done, use a Kingsborne wire set for approximately half the price. They seem to be of equal quality to the OEM with regard to the wires (7 mm) and connectors.

Are you replacing just the wires? I spoke to Magnacor and they told me they CAN NOT duplicate the OEM plug leads. Has this changed?

    Hey Mike:

Yes, I spoke directly to the owner (a British chap) about a year ago and he told me that had not fabricated the F355 plug ends. Perhaps he listened to me and decided there was a market! LOL At the time, I was checking out non-OEM possibilities and I've used Magnacor wire sets in the past. That is actually really good news. Magnacor makes great wires!

Here's the Magnacor Parts and Price List .pdf LINK: http://www.magnecor.com/magnecor1/files/catalog.pdf

I know it's a tight fit through the plug wire seals, but I'm moving up to 8 mm wires when I change my plug wires during my 30K major. I'll just use a new 8mm drill bit to enlarge the holes in the seals.
