Curious to hear from fellow owners who’ve experienced both options.

Factory Opaco paint (matte/satin finish) looks stunning and really elevates the visual drama of modern Ferraris—especially in colors like Rosso F1-75 Opaco. But at up to €34,000, it’s a major investment and, as many say, not easily reversible. Plus you would anyway be getting a Satin PPF over this to protect the expensive opaco paint.

On the other hand, a high-quality satin PPF like Xpel Stealth gives a very similar finish, costs a fraction, and can be removed any time to reveal the original gloss paint underneath. For those who like the idea of flexibility or changing things up in the future, that’s a big plus.

    So I’m wondering:
    • Has anyone done a direct comparison?
    • Are there noticeable differences in finish quality, depth, or durability?
    • Any regrets going with (or not going with) factory Opaco?
    • Gloss paint is no doubt easier to maintain in the long run.
Appreciate any insights or photos you’re willing to share!
